GCET Eligibility Criteria 2022: This post is a must-read for all aspirants who are appearing in the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET). Candidates who want to appear in GCET  they must be eligible according to the terms and conditions as prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa.

Nationality Conditions

  • Aspirants must be a citizen of India.
  • Non-resident Indians (NRI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are also permitted to apply for Goa Common Entrance Test.

Age Criteria

  • If you are interested for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture programmes then there will be no age limitation for you.
  • Candidates, who are applying for Dentistry, Medicine, Homoeopathy, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, their age, should be minimum of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Educational Qualification

For Medical, Dental, AHS and Homeopathy Programmes

  • For appearing in these programmes, candidates should have cleared class 12th or its equivalent test with Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and English.
  • General category candidates are required to score minimum 50% marks in PCB group (45% for PH and 40% for OBC/SC/ST).

 For Engineering programme

  • Class 12th or its equivalent exam passed with Physics, English, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects i.e. Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology.
  • Applicants belonging to general category need to obtain minimum 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and any of the subjects from Chemistry/ Biotechnology / Computer Science/Biology (40% for SC/ST/OBC).

After ensuring your eligibility by checking aforesaid terms and conditions, candidates may proceed to apply for Goa Common Entrance Test.
