Assam B.Tech Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates, who are eligible, can take admission in the various institutes but they should be aware of the eligibility criteria for the admission first. The details about the eligibility criteria are as given in the following points:

• Candidates must have completed the higher secondary level education (12^th) from any recognized board such as CBSE or ICSE.
• They have also studied Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any of the subjects from Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subjects as optional subjects at the higher secondary level.
• Along with that, they must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in the 12^th standard examination.
• Candidates of the reserved category will be eligible for admission with 40% marks in the higher secondary education.
• Candidates, who are planning to appear in the 12^th standard examination, will be eligible for admission.

Entrance Exam for admission

The candidates will have to appear in any of the given entrance examination to be eligible for the admission in the engineering colleges of Assam. The details of the entrance examinations are as given below in the points:

• Candidates can appear for and have the rank card of the Assam Common Entrance Examination (Assam CEE).
• Assam CEE is a state level examination.
• Candidates can appear and have the score card of the JEE Main also. On the basis of the rank they have got in the JEE mains, candidates can apply for admission.
• JEE Mains is the national level of examination.

Assam B.Tech Selection Procedure

The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of the performance in the entrance examinations. As higher the rank will be as topmost college will be offered for admission.

• After the commencement of the entrance examinations, candidates will be eligible to appear for counseling.
• The counseling Board will take the final decision about the allotment of the suitable college for the candidates.

Candidates when getting the result of the entrance examination and get the score or rank card of the exam, they can apply for counseling thru the online or the offline mode.

• The Counselling Board will ask the candidates to show the rank card of the entrance examination and all the certificates of the educational qualifications also.
• In the last, the counseling authority will take the decision about the appropriate college or engineering institute which candidates will be eligible to take the admission in.
• Candidates have to complete the admission process of the respective college after the completion of the counseling
• They will fill the admission form and submit the admission fee of the course to the admission authority of the respective college.
