The Delhi University School of Open Learning (DU SOL) will be inviting applications from the candidates for admissions into its different degree programmes. Admissions will be offered to the eligible candidates in BA, B.Com, MA and M.Com courses. The candidates can register themselves online for DU SOL 2022 admission process. The enrolled candidates will be provided study material for their respective programme. Admissions into UG courses will be done on merit basis and in PG courses on the basis of merit (for 50% seats) and entrance exam (for rest 50% seats). Eligibility Criteria for DU SOL 2022
The eligibility criteria for admissions into different UG and PG courses offered by DU SOL are given as:
Nationality:
- The candidates of Indian nationality, Indian nationals working in Indian missions abroad & their dependents and the foreign nationals residing in India are also eligible for admissions.
Age limit:
- As such there is no minimum age limit for the admissions except in courses where there is an age limit set by the respective regulatory bodies (MCI, AICTE etc).
Educational qualification:
For UG courses
- BA (Hons) English: The candidates should have cleared their class 12th or equivalent exam with at least 65% in aggregate and minimum 75% marks in English Core or 65% in Functional English/ English Elective and three academic subjects (no vocational stream).
- BA (Hons) Political Science: The applicants need to pass their class 12th or equivalent exam with at least one language plus 3 academic subjects (no vocational stream) and 50% marks in aggregate.
- Com (Hons): Those who have passed the class 12th or equivalent exam with minimum 55% in aggregate or with 60% in vocational/ technical discipline with commerce are eligible.
- BA and B.Com: A pass in class 12th or equivalent exam with at least 40% marks in aggregate is required.
For PG courses
- MA (Sanskrit): The applicants who have done BA (Hons) in Sanskrit from University of Delhi with at least 60% marks in aggregate (54% for OBC category candidates) can apply.
- MA (Hindi): The applicants should have done BA (Hons) in Hindi from University of Delhi with a minimum of 65% aggregate marks (58.5% for OBC category candidates).
- MA (History): BA (Hons) in History from Delhi University with at least 60% aggregate marks is required.
- MA (Political Science): BA (Hons) in Political Science from DU with at least 60% aggregate marks is required.
- Com: A pass in B.Com with a minimum of 70% marks for general category, 63% for OBC category, 65% for CW/ PWD Category and passing marks for SC/ ST category is required.
Application Form
The application form for DU SOL 2022 for both UG and PG courses can be obtained from the official website. The candidates are advised to carefully read the instructions before they fill and submit their application.
- The candidates will have to provide their personal and educational details into the application form.
- Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph, signature, category certificate, disability certificate and other educational certificates will also be uploaded as per the applicability.
- After entering all the important information correctly into the application form, the candidates can submit it.
- The candidates will also have to submit a prescribed amount of application fee along with the application form.
- The candidates must keep a photocopy of the application form with them in case of future reference.
DU SOL Admit Card 2022
- The admit card for the entrance exam will be made available on the official website.
- The applicants should download their admit card, take its printout and must carry it to the exam center.
- No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam in the absence of admit card.
- The candidates who are not able to download their admit card or lose their admit card should contact the respective departments.
Result & Merit List
- The entrance exam result will be announced in online mode and the candidates can check it form the official university’s website.
- Merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidates’ performance in the entrance exam.
- For direct admissions, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in the qualifying exam.
- For different degree courses, separate merit list will be prepared.
- Candidate’s name, form number, roll number, category and general rank will be mentioned on the merit list.
Admission Process
- The admission into undergraduate courses will be offered on the basis of qualifying exam (class 12th).
- The admission to 50% seats of the postgraduate course will be offered on direct or merit basis. Only the candidates who have earned their UG degree from the University of Delhi will be eligible for direct admission.
- The admission to rest 50% seats of the postgraduate course will be offered on the basis of entrance exam. The candidates with UG degree from universities other than University of Delhi will be given admissions under this category.
