The candidates will be able to check their DU JAT Result 2021 by visiting the official website of University of Delhi. Follow the steps given below to check your result:

Get DU JAT,Exam Updates through e-mail, by entering your details below.
  • Go to the official Delhi University’s website du.ac.in.
  • Search for the link to check the result of DU JAT exam. A direct link to check the result will also be provided here for the convenience of the candidates.
  • Click on the link to open the result page.
  • Now enter your application number, roll number, date of birth, password and/ or other details as asked on this page.
  • After providing all the details correctly, click on the ‘submit’ button.
  • The result of the DU JAT will appear on the screen.
  • You should download the result, take its printout and keep it safe for future reference.

Preparation of Merit List

  • After the successful declaration of result, the authorities will prepare a merit list of the candidates.
  • This list will be prepared according to the marks obtained by the candidates in the admission test.
  • Marks scored by the candidates in their qualifying exam will also be taken into consideration while making the merit list.
  • The weightage of the entrance exam and qualifying exam will be as follows:
    • Entrance exam: 65%
    • Qualifying exam: 35%
  • Any reservation or tie-breaking rules will be applicable as per the rules of the university.
  • The candidates will then be invited to take part in the counseling/ admission process as per their names in the merit list.

Method of resolving ties

The following method will be applied for breaking the tie while preparing the merit list:

  • The candidate securing higher percentage of marks in the aggregate of best five subjects including one language in the qualifying exam will be given preference.
  • If the above method does not break the tie, date of birth will be taken into account for breaking the tie. The applicant older in age (as mentioned in the class 10th certificate) will be given preference.

Counseling Process

  • The candidates whose names are included in the merit list will be invited to take part in the counseling process.
  • During counseling the original documents of the candidates and their eligibility criteria will be verified.
  • After successful completion of the verification process, the candidates will be allotted a seat in the course and college of their choice.
  • Ranking of the candidates will also be considered while seat allotment.
  • The final admission will be granted after the rest of the admission formalities are completed.

Important Things to keep in mind

  • The candidates who were debarred from appearing the entrance exam, their results will not be declared.
  • Any candidate who was dismissed from the examination hall on grounds of any unfair means (UFM) will not be able to see their results.
  • The results will only be released in online mode. Any intimation regarding the result may or may not be sent on the registered mobile number.
  • It is suggested that the candidates keep a copy of the result as it may be required at the time of counseling or admission.
  • No scorecard will be sent to the candidates via courier or post and can only be downloaded from the university’s website.

A pass in the result does not guarantee the final selection of the candidates. There are other rounds of selection too that includes verification of document and eligibility. Only the candidates who clear all these rounds after qualifying the JAT exam will be eligible for final admission into the BA (Hons) Business Economics, Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS) and Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis) (BBA (FIA)) courses.
