Eligibility criteria

Aspirants should satisfy the important eligibility criteria before applying. The details of DHSGS PhD entrance test eligibility criteria for the year 2021 are as follows:

• Applicants must possess a Master’s/Post Graduate Degree in relevant/allied subject with no less than 55% marks or CGPA of 5.01 in 10 point grade scale from Universities / Institutes recognized by UGC.
• In case of Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Physically Challenged (PC) category, they need to score minimum of 50% marks or 4.01 CGPA in ten point grade scale in their Master’s degree to appear in the written test.
• Applicants who have qualified UGC/ JRF/ CSIR NET-LS Examination will be exempted from appearing in the entrance test.
• A Teacher fellowship holder will also consider for admission without appearing in the entrance test.

• Submit the duly filled form and then proceed to payment.

Examination Pattern

For PHD admission the university will organize an entrance test which comprises of 100 multiple choice type questions for 200 marks. The questions asked in the written test will be based on 10+2+3 examination or equivalent. The duration of DHSGS PhD entrance test is 120 minutes i.e. two hours. Besides, there will be an interview round of 20 marks. Applicants who qualify the written test with scoring minimum qualifying marks will only be invited for the interview.
