About Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli
Established in the year 1947, Walchand College of Engineering (WCE) is an autonomous engineering education institute located in Sangli city, Maharashtra, India. It is one of oldest institutes in the Sangli district and approved by All India council for technical education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college was renamed after Walchand Hirachand, an industrialist by the year 1955. WCE was accredited by national board of accreditation (NBA) and gives various degree courses in the fields of graduate and post graduate engineering courses.
Campus
The WCE campus is spread over 90 acres of land in Vishrambag, nearly midway between the twin cities of Sangli and Miraj. It is one of the highly renowned engineering institutions in the Maharashtra. The level of technical education, skilled and dedicated staff and excellent placement record makes WCE the top most choice of students. The institute has different buildings for different departments.
Courses
Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli has five educational departments and providing various courses in graduate and postgraduate engineering branches. All courses are approved by AICTE and accredited to NBA.

WCE has well equipped labs and workshops, spacious and well designed classrooms, a central library with thousands of books and journals, seminar hall, sports facility, auditorium, separate hostel facility etc. The college has emphasis on offering quality education with main focus on overall development of the students.

Walchand College of Engineering has a Training and Placement cell which provide sufficient job opportunities to the students. The placement department has experienced and dedicated staff assisting students in the development of their career. The main motto of the Training and placement department is to train the students for the organizations by focusing on their communication skills, self – confidence and personality to place most students in the reputed companies.
