Admission Process

  • Candidates will be required to take part in the national level entrance exam ‘NEET’ to take admission to pursue MBBS and BDS course.
  • Candidates will be given admission in the medical institutes on the basis of the NEET score.
  • The NEET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  • Candidates of another state except Tamilnadu will have to take part in the all India level counselling.
  • The counselling will be conducted by the Directorate of General Health Services (DGHS) & Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should be an Indian citizen.
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) can also apply for Chennai MBBS/BDS Admission 2021.
  • It is important that all the aspirants must have completed the higher secondary education (12th) from a recognized board of secondary education.
  • The minimum age of the applicants needs to be 17 years.
  • Candidates of the reserved category will be given be eligible to apply up to 30 years of age.
  • Candidates appearing in the 12th standard exam will also be eligible to apply.

Details of the Entrance Exam

  • The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  • Candidates need to take part in NEET which will be conducted in the month of May.
  • The score obtained by the candidates in the NEET will be the only criteria for admission in the MBBS and BDS courses.
