Banaras Hindu University Law Admission Test (BLAT) is a national level entrance test organized by Banaras Hindu University. The BLAT 2018 is held for providing integrated 5-year B. A. L. L. B (Hons.) program offered by Faculty of Law (BHU). Candidates who want to pursue their law education from Banaras Hindu University can apply for BLAT 2018. Eligibility criteria
Candidates are required to fulfill the necessary eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The details of BLAT eligibility criteria are provided below:
For LLB (Hons)
- Applicants should have done B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / Shastri (at least 10+2+3 pattern) with no less than 50% marks.
- Candidates should possess any other degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the BCI (Bar Council of India) for the purpose of admission to LL.B. Programme with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
- Those who have completed 10+2 or Graduation/ Post-graduation through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualifications are not eligible for admission in Law programmes.
- Candidate’s date of birth should fall on or after July 1, 1988.
For BA L. L. B. (Hons)
Candidates who have completed / is appearing 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent constituted or recognized by a State Government or by the Union or any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that country for the purpose of granting qualifying certificate on successful completion of the programme.
They have to pass the qualifying examination with scoring no less than 50% of total marks (45% in case of OBC category and 40% in case of SC & ST applicants).
BLAT Application Form: How to apply?
The application process of BLAT will commence probably from January. Interested and eligible candidates can obtain the application form online through visiting the official website of BHU University. Fill all the required details in the application form carefully. After completing the application filling process, candidates have to pay certain amount i.e. Rs 500/- (Rs 250 for SC/ ST and OBC candidates) as necessary application fee using online payment mode. Candidates should submit the completed application form before the due date.
Admit card
Most likely, the admit card for BLAT will available in the 2nd week of May. The university will issue the admit card online only. Candidates, who registered successfully for the exam, can download BLAT admit card from the university’s official website. It is must for all candidates to carry their admit card at the time of the exam. Keep your admit card safe till the admission process is over.

BLAT Result
The result of BLAT will be announced tentatively in the month of June. Aspirants can check their results online through visiting the university’s official website.
