Eligibility Criteria

  • All Indian citizens can apply for admission to the MBBS/BDS programme.
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) can also apply for admission to the MBBS and BDS programme.
  • Candidates are required to have passed the senior secondary school Examination from a recognised board of secondary education.
  • The minimum age of the applicants must be 17 years as on 31 December 2021.
  • The maximum age limit for admission to the MBBS/BDS programme is 25 years for students of the general category.
  • The candidates of the reserved category will be eligible to apply for admission upto 30 years of age.
  • Appearing (12th)applicants will also be eligible to apply for admission in the MBBS/BDS admission.

Admission/Selection Process

  • The score attained by the candidates in the NEET will only be considered for admission into the medical institutes.
  • The admission counselling will be conducted for the admission into the medical institutes for admission into the MBBS/ BDS programmes.
  • The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is commenced in the months of May every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  • The seats for admission are allotted after the counselling for admission is commenced.

Entrance Exam details

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the NEET exam in the month of May.
  • CBSE releases the result of NEET in June’s last week after the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted in the month of May every year.
