AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 : Important Dates, Eligibility, Application Form, Admit Card, Result

The Annamalai University will be conducting AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 exam to provide the candidates admissions in M.Pharm courses. The candidates can apply for the All India Medical Entrance Exam (AIMEE) by submitting their application forms. The AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 exam will be conducted on 3rd week of July 2019 (tentatively). However, the candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The University also offers admissions to B.Pharm, D.Pharm and Pharm.D degree programmes. The admissions into these programmes are offered on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for appearing in the AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 exam (for M.Pharm), the applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

  • The candidates must have passed the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the Annamalai University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by this University.
  • It is necessary for the candidates to secure at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • For SC/ST/SCA candidates, only passing marks are required.

Criteria for other courses:

Course Qualification Eligibility
B.Pharm An individual pass in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany and Zoology/Mathematics with a minimum of 35% marks in each subject (for all categories) and at least 40% (35% for SC/SCA/ST candidates) aggregate marks in the above subjects is required.
B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) A Diploma in Pharmacy with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks is required in the 1st and 2nd year D.Pharm exams from this University or any other University recognized equivalent to this University.
D.Pharm

A pass in Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Botany & Zoology/Mathematics is required. OR

A pass in B.Sc. Degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Mathematics subjects either at the Higher Secondary level or at the graduate level is necessary.

Pharm.D

A pass in Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Botany & Zoology/Mathematics is required. OR

Candidates with a pass in Diploma in Pharmacy Course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India are eligible too.

Note: Candidates who are not a native to the state of Tamil Nadu will be treated as General category candidate, irrespective of their category. Such candidates will only be considered for admissions after exhausting all the candidates from Tamil Nadu.

AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 Application Form

The AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 application form will be released expectedly in the month of May. The candidates can fill the form made available on the official university website. In the application form, the candidates will have to provide the details of their Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Aadhaar, Nativity and the details of qualifying examination passed. After entering the details in the form, the candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1000/-.

Admit Card

The AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 admit card will be released on the official website of the University, a few weeks before the commencement of the exam. The admit card will contain the details of the exam center, date and time along with the basic details of the candidate such as name and roll number. The candidates must carry the admit card along with them at the exam center on the day of exam.

AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 Result

The result for the M.Pharm entrance exam will be announced by the University after the scrutiny of the answer sheets. A merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in the exam. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview round. The candidates qualifying all the rounds (entrance exam + interview) will be considered for final selection.

Selection Procedure

The selection for the M.Pharm exam will be done on the basis of overall performance of the candidates in the exam and interview. Those who successfully clear the AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 exam and fulfill the eligibility requirement (and other requirements as applicable) will be granted final admission.

For the other courses (B.Pharm, D.Pharm and Pharm.D), the selection will be done on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying exam.

For 1st year admissions into B.Pharm courses, ranking will be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the science subjects in the qualifying examinations reduced to the base of 200 marks. The marks secured through different boards will be taken into consideration after normalizing.

For D.Pharm courses and Pharm.D, the rank list will be prepared based on the percentage of total marks obtained by the candidate in Higher Secondary course conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent board.
