About the University

Anand Agricultural University commonly known as AAU is one of the most famous and reputed agriculture universities in India. The University was established in year 2004 by the great leader of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. AAU was established to give support to the farming society in three aspects namely education, research and expansion activities in Horticulture Engineering, Agriculture, Home Science and product Processing. The main motive AAU, Anand is to support continues progression of growth of sustainable development and economics liberty in rural society. AAU aims to accomplish this by education, research and extension education. Therefore, Anand Agricultural University works towards the empowerment of the farmers.

Presently, the university has 7 colleges, 17 research centers and 6 extension education institutions working in various districts of Gujarat that is Anand, Ahmedabad, Dahod, Panchmahal, Kheda, and Voadodra.

  • Management Program

(MBA/PGDM- Agri business)

Candidates should have done graduation and a bachelor degree programme in any stream obtained by the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent examination with at least aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA of any of the recognized Universities integrated by an act of the central or state legislature in India. (45% aggregate for candidates from SC/ST category)

  • Engineering – Four courses
  1. BTech (Agriculture Engineering) – four years

The candidates must have successfully cleared Higher Secondary School Certificate examination in Science stream with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics and English as mandatory subject from any legal University / Board in Gujarat State or Examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University.

  1. BTech (Food Technology)- four years

The candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary School Certificate or 12th examination in Science stream with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics and English as mandatory subject from any legal University / Board in Gujarat State or Examination recognized as equivalent affiliated by the University

  1. Tech (Agriculture information Technology) – four years

The candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary School Certificate or 12th examination in Science stream with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics and English as mandatory subject from any legal University / Board in Gujarat State or Examination recognized as equivalent affiliated by the University

  1. BTech (Dairy Technology)- four years

The candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary School Certificate or 12th examination in Science stream with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics and English as mandatory subject from any legal University / Board in Gujarat State or Examination recognized as equivalent affiliated by the University

  • Diploma in Engineering

  Diploma in Agriculture Engineering – (Three years)

Candidate must be passed 10th examination with minimum of 45% aggregate marks.

  • ME/M.Tech

M.Tech in Bio Energy- (Two Years)

Candidate must be done Graduation or equivalent examination

  • UG Diploma

Diploma in Dietetics and Nutrition – (three years)

Candidate must be passed 10+2/12th examination with minimum of 45% aggregate marks.

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)

B.Sc (Honors in Home Science) – Three years

The candidates to be enrolled for B.sc honors in Home Science degree course should have cleared the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or 10+2 or equivalent examination from Science stream with core subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths (PCBM) or Physics, Chemistry, Maths (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) with English as compulsory subject.

  • Veterinary Sciences

Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) & A.H- Five years

The candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary School Certificate or 12th examination in Science stream with Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics and English as mandatory subject with at least of 55% marks or equivalent grade average of 2.5/4.00 from any legal University / Board in Gujarat State or Examination recognized as equivalent affiliated by the University.

  • Agriculture

Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) – 4 courses offered

  1. BSc (Honors in Agriculture)- three years

The candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary School Certificate or (10+2) Examination in Science discipline with subjects like English, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology with minimum of 45 per cent marks in aggregate of science subjects from any legal University / Board in Gujarat State or Examination recognized as equivalent associated  by the University or equivalent OGPA. Applicants who have qualified Higher Secondary Examination or 12th with Vocational field in Agriculture as well as from Higher Secondary Post Basic discipline with Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology subjects be also enrolled with at least of 45 per cent marks in aggregate and having English as mandatory subject.

  1. BSc in Horticulture Science – three years

The candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination in Science stream with Physics, English, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology with minimum of 35 per cent marks in aggregate of Higher Secondary School Examination from any legal University / Board in Gujarat state or Examination recognized as equivalent associated by the University or equivalent OGPA.

  1. BSc in Dairy Technology- three years

The candidate must have cleared Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or 12th examination in Science discipline with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as an important subject from any legal University / Gujarat Board/ other board in State or Examinations recognized as equivalent associated by the University.

  1. BSc in Forestry four years

The candidates must have cleared Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination in Science stream with Physics, English, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology with minimum of 35 per cent marks in aggregate of Higher Secondary School Examination from any legal University / Board in Gujarat state or Examination recognized as equivalent associated by the University or equivalent OGPA.

Master of Science (Agriculture) – 4 courses
