The application form for AISSEE 2023 has been released now in online mode. National Testing Agency (NTA) is the authority that will conduct and manage this entrance exam. Through this entrance exam, authorities will shortlist candidates for admission to class 6th and class 9th of Sainik Schools all over India. AISSEE Eligibility Criteria 2023

The eligibility criteria are different for class 6th and class 9th admission as given below.

For Class 6th Admission

  • Age Limit –  A candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31 March 2023. Students should have been born between 01 April 2011 and 31 March 2013 (both days inclusive).
  • Gender – Both Girls and Boys can apply.

For Class 9th Admission

  • Age Limit – A candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2023. Students should have been born between 01 April 2008 and 31 March 2010 (both days inclusive).
  • Gender – Only boys students can apply.
  • Educational Qualification – Candidates must have passed class 8th from a recognized school.

AISSEE 2023 Application Form

Aspirants can submit the applications for AISSEE 2023 online through the official website i.e. https://aissee.nta.nic.in. NTA will not accept the application form in other than online mode. The steps to submit the application forms are as follows.

  • First of all, you will have to register on the official website i..e aissee.nta.nic.in.
  • During registration, you are required to provide your Email ID and mobile number.
  • In the next step, you may log in using the credentials generated during registration.
  • After that, you will have to provide your complete academic, personal, and contact details.
  • Along with the details, you must upload the scanned images of the following documents.
    • Candidate’s Photograph (size of the file: 10 kb – 200 kb) in JPG/JPEG format
    • Signature (size of the file: 4kb – 30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
    • left-hand thumb impression. (size of the file: 10 kb -50 kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
    • Domicile Certificate
    • Date of Birth Certificate
    • Caste/ Community/ Category Certificate
    • Certificate of service (for Defence category-serving) and PPO for Exservicemen (As applicable) – Size of the file: 100 kb to 400 kb in JPG or JPEG format.
  • In the next step, you will have to pay the application fee as per your category.
  • Finally, take a printout of the application form submitted for future references.

Application Fee

The application fees are different for candidates from various categories.

  • General/ Wards of Defence personnel and ex-servicemen/ OBC(NCL) – Rs. 550/-
  • Scheduled castes/Scheduled tribes – Rs. 400/-

Mode of Payment – Candidates can pay the application online using a credit card/ debit card/ net banking/ Paytm.

AISSEE 2023 Admit Card

  • The admit cards will release 15 days prior to the date of the examination in the online mode.
  • To download the admit card, candidates will have to provide their registration number and date of birth.
  • The information related to the date, time, and venue of the examination will be mentioned on the admit card.
  • No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination centre, on Date and Timing other than that allotted to him in his AISSEE 2023 Admit card.
  • Candidates should have the following documents with them at the time of the examination.

    • One Photo ID Proof in original such as Aadhaar Card.

AISSEE Exam Pattern 2023

The pattern of the AISSEE examination 2023 is given below.

  • Mode of examination – Offline (OMR sheet based test)
  • Type of questions – Objective type multiple choice questions

    • For class 6th  – 125 questions
    • For class 9th – 150 questions
  • Duration of examination – 150 minutes (for class 6th) and 180 minutes (for class 9th)
  • Language of questions
    • 6th Class – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu
    • 9th Class – English only
  • Marking Pattern – Each question will carry 2 marks (Mathematics will carry 3 marks and 4 marks each for class 6th and class 9th exam)
  • Maximum Marks – 300 marks (for class 6th) and 400 marks (for class 9th)

Syllabus

The syllabus of AISSEE 2023 is as prescribed by the SSS. Please note that the syllabus of class 6th and class 9th is different as given below.

6th Class Syllabus

  • Mathematics – Natural Numbers, Conversion of Units, LCM and HCF, Roman Numerals, Unitary Method, Types of Angles, Fractions, Circle, Ratio and Proportion, Volume of Cube and Cuboids, Profit and Loss, Prime and Composite Numbers
  • Intelligence – Analogies (mathematical & verbal), pattern (spatial and mathematical), classification, visual, logical, reasoning, etc
  • Language (English) – Comprehension Passage, Sentence Formation, Preposition, Antonyms, Article, Synonyms, Vocabulary, Adjectives, Verbs and Type, Interjection, Confusing Words, Idiom and Phrases, Question Tags, Collective Nouns.
  • Language (regional) section will be based on topics dealt till Class V
  • General Knowledge – Different Types of Scientific Devices Used in Daily Life, Icons and Symbols of India: National Insignia, National Emblem, Sports, Animal etc. (Elementary awareness of such symbols), Concepts on Mountain Terrain and Lifestyle, Historical Monuments, Shape of Earth and Gravitation (Basic concepts), Non-Renewable Energy Sources (Fossil Fuels), Food, Culture, Habitat, Languages  of various regions (Basic concepts)

9th Class Syllabus

  • Mathematics – Rational Numbers, Average, Median, Mode, Linear Equations in One Variable, Probability, Understanding Quadrilaterals, Pie Chart, Data Handling (Bar Graph and Line Graph), Direct & Inverse Proportions
  • Intelligence – Analogies (mathematical & verbal), pattern (spatial and mathematical), classification, visual, logical, reasoning etc.
  • English – Spotting Errors, Sentence Improvement, Comprehension Passage, Change of sentence as directed, Antonyms, Sentence Formation, Synonyms, Types of Sentences
  • General Science – Fossil Fuel: Coal and Petroleum, Cell Structure and Function, Some Natural Phenomenon, Micro-Organisms, Cropping Seasons, Reflection and Dispersion of Light.
  • Social Science – Revolt of 1857, Earthquakes and Major Land Forms, Important Freedom Movements, Freedom Fighters, Climate Change, Interior of Earth, Major Grasslands, Resources and sustainable development.

AISSEE 2023 Answer Key

  • NTA will display provisional answer keys of the questions on the official website.
  • Candidates can match their answers with the correct ones using the provisional answer key.
  • In case a candidate is not satisfied with the provisional answer key then he can challenge the same by paying an amount of Rs. 200/- per answer challenged.
  • NTA will consider all the challenges and then release the final answer key.
  • The result will be prepared on the basis of the final answer key.

AISSEE Result 2023

  • The National Testing Agency will evaluate the Answer Sheets and declare the result.
  • The result will be declared online through the official website i.e. aissee.nta.nic.in.
  • Candidates will also be informed about the declaration of result through email and SMS.
  •  Along with the result, NTA will release School-wise and category-wise merit list (separately for boys and girls and for Class 6th and Class 9th)
  • Those who will get their names in the merit list need to visit the respective school and complete the admission formality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question – 1: I am not satisfied with my AISSEE 2023 result, can I apply for rechecking or re-evaluation?

Answer: No, there is no provision for re-checking/re-evaluation of the answer sheets.

Question – 2: Who will get a better rank in case two candidates got equal marks?

Answer: In case two candidates score equal marks then the candidate with a better score in Mathematics will be selected. In case the tie persists, a student with more marks in Intelligence will be selected.

Question – 3: Can I get the offline application form of AISSEE 2023 from the Sainik School?        

Answer: No, the application form will not release in offline mode only.
