TISSNET 2019: Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is the respective authority which conducts TISSNET officially Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test every year. It is a national level entrance exam which conducts for admission to full-time PG programmes available under the various campuses of TISS including Mumbai, Guwahati, Tuljapur, and Hyderabad campuses. This entrance test will be held in various cities across the country. For BA Courses
- Applicants must pass 12th or its equivalent examination in any discipline from a recognized board.
- Candidates appearing in the 12th examination may also apply.
- Applicants who have done International Baccalaureate Diploma and will be passing 12th by June 2018 can also apply.
- The age of applicant should not exceed than 23 years at the time of admission year.
For MA Course
- Applicants holding bachelor’s degree in 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 education scheme from a recognized institution may eligible to apply.
- Candidates who will fulfill all the necessary conditions of their final year degree examination as per the specified time are also eligible to apply. Such applicants should submit the result of final examination before the prescribed date.
TISSNET 2019 Application Form: How to apply
The application form of TISSNET 2019 will available from October 2018. Application forms for M.A courses will available through online as well as offline mode while the applications for B.A. course will available via online mode only. In order to get the application form via offline through Speed Post candidates need to send a request with application fees to Assistant Registrar (Academic), TATA Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar – Mumbai (400088).

The authority will announce the TISSNET 2019 admit card through online mode only. To get the admit card, candidates need to enter their login details. For M.A. exam the admit card will available from December to January 2019 while the admit card for B.A. course will release on March 2019 (tentatively).

ISSNET Syllabus 2019
The ISSNET 2019 syllabus for different sections is listed below:
Logical Reasoning: Eye for detail, Number Series, Logical Connectivity, Cubes, Venn diagram, Alphabet Series, Assumption/ Statement Conclusion/Arguments, Circular/ Linear/Family Arrangement, Puzzles, etc.
DI Topics: Bar graph, Pie chart, Case lets, Line graphs, Double pie chart, Tables, Multiple graphs & Data comparison.
Mathematics: Basic Geometry, Profit, and Loss, Percentages, Averages, Ratio and Proportion.
VA Topics: Antonyms, Right usage of words in fill in the blank, odd word out, Idioms – Match the following, fill in the Blanks – Homophones, Analogies, and Sentence Correction etc.
RC Topics: Assumption and Supporting Statement, Purpose of the passage, Inference and Conclusion Drawn, Strengthen and Weaken, Author’s Point of View, Flaw, and Discrepancy, etc.
General Awareness: Economy/ Policy, Gender/Health/Education, Media/ Literature/ ICTs/Art/Culture, Politics/History/Governance/Law, current events/ International politics, Labour, Sports, etc.
The result of ISSNET 2019 will be announced in online mode tentatively in the month of January 2019. Candidates can check their result from the official website by submitting their login details. For general category, the minimum qualifying cut off will be 45% and 35% for SC/ST category. No other offline mode will be entertained to check the result except online. Candidates should take printout of the ISSNET score card 2019 and keep it safe for further admission process.
The authority will invite the shortlisted applicants for Pre-Interview Test and Personal Interview (PIT/PI). There is 50% weightage given to TISSNET, 20% to PIT/GD and 30% to personal interview while preparing the merit list.
TISSNET 2019 Admission
The admission process will be commenced in the month of February 2019 (tentatively). The conducting body will organize admission process through offline mode at different campuses of TISS. Please note down, the CAT/ CET/ MAT/ GMAT / GRE scores will not be considered for offering admission. Candidates have to carry their original documents along with photocopies for the verification process. Candidates who will be provisionally selected have to go through the medical test.
