MGU CAT 2022: Application Form (Released), Eligibility Criteria, Dates

MGU CAT 2022 application form has been released on 7th March 2022. Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala common admission test is conducted by the University for offering Admission to various postgraduate programmes. Admission process will be done through a centralized allotment procedure.

Candidates are required to submit only one application form and based on that they will be eligible to opt 4 academic programmes as per their eligibility. For other programmes candidates may refer to the official brochure of MGU CAT. Talking about the basic eligibility for all programmes, candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.

How to Apply for MGU CAT 2022?

Candidates need to submit only one application for appearing in entrance test. In case candidates have submitted multiple applications then their candidature will be cancelled automatically.

Candidates need to finish the admission formalities before the specified deadline. An application will be assumed as unsuccessfully till the prescribed registration fee has not paid by candidate.

Registration Fee

• For General category applicants: Rs. 500/-
• For SC/ST: Rs.250/-

The aforesaid amount needs to be paid by candidates by using credit card/debit card/net banking. Candidates who do not have aforesaid facilities they can make payment through the Akshaya centres in the state.

Apply for MGU CAT

Submission of Hard Copy of Application

Applicants who are applying for M.Ed programme they only need to submit hard copy of their application form along with self attested copies of necessary certificates. For other programmes, hard copy submission is not required.

Exam Pattern

• Selection of candidates will be made through entrance test. All aspirants excluding foreign students need to appear in the test.
• The test will be of 90 minutes duration.
• Only objective type multiple choice questions will be asked for all programmes excluding School of Tourism Studies, School of Letters and School of Indian Legal Thought. For these programmes, objective as well as multiple choice questions will be asked.

Admit Card

MGU CAT 2022 Result and Preparation of Rank List

The admission authority will prepare rank list for all programmes excluding M.Ed after announcement of entrance exam result by considering following factors:

• Marks obtained by candidates in the entrance test.
• The bonus mark/weightage marks.

Counselling Procedure

List of eligible candidates will be invited for counselling process after publication of rank lists. They will be asked to produce following list of documents:

• Certificate proving date of birth of candidates.
• Transfer certificate from the institute last attended.
• Mark sheet & provisional degree certificate related to the Qualifying degree.
• Migration certificate, if available.
• Equivalency certificate for the qualifying exam.
• Income certificate, caste certificate, BPL certificate, if applicable.
• Other necessary documents.
