IBPS PO 2021: Application Form (20 October), Exam Date, Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria

IBPO PO 2021- IBPS will be conducting online examinations to select the candidates for posts of Probationary Officers in different participating organizations. Exams will be conducted in two stages- preliminary and main, followed by an interview. Clearing all the three rounds will be mandatory to be considered for final selection. The provisionally selected can be posted anywhere in India or outside India as per discretion of the participating organization.

IBPS PO 2021 application form has been released on 20th October 2021.

IBPS PO 2021- Things to Note

  • Possessing a valid graduation degree certificate or mark sheets with the percentage of marks obtained, indicating that the candidate is a graduate on the day of registration is mandatory.
  • The visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed is adversely affected permanently for any reason can use their own scribe.
  • All eligible candidates who and wish to appear for pre-exam training should provide the choice for the same in the online application.
  • Intimation regarding the different stages of selection process will be sent through email/ SMS on the registered email id/ phone number.
  • Issuance of offer of appointment including terms and conditions, formalities for verification, joining etc. will be solely the decision of the Participating Organizations.

IBPS PO 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria are mandatory for IBPS PO 2021 exam:

Nationality criteria:

A candidate must be either:

  • a Citizen of India or
  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan or
  • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age criteria:

The age of the candidates should be in between 20 years and 30 years.

Age relaxation:

Relaxation will be provided in the upper age limit as per the following:

SC/ ST 5 years
PwBD 10 years
Ex-Servicemen, including Emergency Commissioned Officers/ Short Service Commissioned Officers who have spent minimum 5 years in military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from the last date of receipt of application) other than discharge due to misconduct or inefficiency or physical disability attributable to military service or invalidment 5 years
Persons ordinarily domiciled in state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period of 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 5 years

Academic criteria:

The candidates should have completed their graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university in order to be eligible.

IBPS Application Form 2021

The application form for IBPS PO 2021 will be released in online mode. Interested candidates need to visit the official website of IBPS, www.ibps.in to obtain the application form. The candidates must complete their registration process before the last date in order to download their preliminary exam admit card.

  • To fill the application form, the candidates will have to provide their personal and educational details.
  • Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph, signature, left thumb impression and hand written declaration will also be uploaded in the form.
  • After providing the details as asked in the form, the candidates must check the data carefully before submission.
  • Candidates can then submit the form along with the application fee. After submission, no changes will be possible in the application form.
  • A printout of the application form should be taken by the candidates and kept safe for future reference.

Application fee:

  • The application fee will be Rs. 600/- for general/ OBC candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.
  • Candidates will be able to submit the fees in online mode using debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ IMPS/ Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

IBPS PO 2021 Syllabus

The syllabus for IBPS PO 2021 is given below:

  • Reasoning Section: Analogy, Odd Man Out, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Blood relations, Direction Sense, Sitting arrangement, Figure Series, Puzzles, etc
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Ratio & Proportion. Profit and loss, Simple interest, Mensuration, Permutation and combination, Probability, Percentage, etc
  • English Language: Fill in the blanks, Cloze Test, Idioms & Phrases, Synonyms and Antonyms, One Word Substitution, Comprehensions, etc
  • General Awareness: International Economy, Indian Economy, Awards & Honors, Sports, Budget, Agriculture, Current Affairs, Finance, Shares, etc
  • Computer Knowledge: History of computers, MS Office, Operating Systems, Number System, Software & Hardware, etc.

Admit Card

  • The admit card for each exam under IBPS PO selection process will be released on the official website.
  • Candidates should take a printout of their admit card and carry it along with photo id proof to the exam center.
  • In the absence of these documents, the candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
  • Details of the exam center will be communicated to the candidates through their admit card.
  • No admit card/ call letter will be sent to the candidates through offline mode such as post, courier, etc.

Result & Interview

  • Result of the IBPS PO exam will be declared in online mode. The result for preliminary exam, main exam and interview will be announced separately.
  • The candidates who clear the preliminary exam will only be eligible for main exam.
  • In the main exam, candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score.
  • Such candidates will be called for interview conducted by the Participating Organizations.
  • The interview will carry 100 marks with minimum qualifying marks of 40% (35% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates).
  • Those qualifying the interview round will be selected for provisional allotment.

Selection Process

  • Candidates reporting for interview must carry their original documents for verification.
  • On completion of the interview process, the shortlisted candidates will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organizations.
  • The number of candidates to be shortlisted will depend on the number of vacancies available.
  • The provisional allotment will be subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for Participating Organization and identity and document verification.
  • Selected candidates must avail the offer of appointment from the Participating Organization or else they will forfeit their candidature.

Important Documents

The following documents must be carried for verification in original and photocopy as well:

  • Interview call letter
  • Printout of the online application form
  • Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority or SSLC Certificate with DOB
  • Photo Identify Proof
  • Mark sheets or certificates for Graduation or equivalent
  • Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ ST/ OBC candidates
  • Disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board for PwD candidates
  • A copy of the Service or Discharge book along with pension payment order and documentary proof of rank last/ presently held for ex-serviceman candidate
  • Certificate from a competent authority that the candidates in defence service will be relieved from their service
  • No Objection Certificate for candidates serving in Govt./ quasi Govt. / Public Sector Undertakings
  • Domicile certificate stating that the candidate has resided in J&K during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989, for those claiming age relaxation
  • For persons eligible for age relaxation under 1984 riot, a certificate from the District Magistrate to the effect that they are eligible for relief in terms of the Rehabilitation Package for 1984 Riot Affected Persons
