Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is responsible for organizing the IBPS PO exam every year. The authority conducts this entrance exam for recruitment to the post of Probationary Officer (PO) /Management Trainee (MT) in 11 Public Sector Banks in India.
The exam includes three stages i.e., the preliminary exam, mains exam, and interview. Every year, a large number of candidates appeared in the IBPS PO exam to make their career public banking industry.
IBPS PO 2024 official notification will be released in July 2024. Applicants willing to apply for the upcoming IBPS PO exam must register for the exam as per the prescribed schedule.

Selected candidates will be appointed to any one of the following IBPS PO banks- Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank of India, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank.
IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria
The authority has set some eligibility norms which are needed to be fulfilled by the candidates who are going to appear in the IBPS PO exam. The information regarding IBPS PO Eligibility criteria prescribed by the conducting body is listed below.
Candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan.
The age of the candidates should be between 20-30 years. There will be a relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Candidates having a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a university or college recognized by the Government of India are eligible to apply for the IBPS PO exam.
IBPS PO 2024 Application Form
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will release the application form for IBPS PO in August 2024 (tentatively). Interested and eligible candidates will be allowed to fill out the application form online within the prescribed schedule.
Firstly, candidates need to complete the online IBPS PO registration process by providing details like contact number, email id, name, etc. Once the registration will be done, candidates should fill out the application form.
Candidates should fill in the basic details including personal details, educational qualifications, computer certification courses, languages known, preferences of banks, etc. in the form.
Upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the given dimensions.
Candidates should verify the details carefully before submission. They also have to upload left thumb impressions and handwritten declarations.
Make the payment of the requisite application fee which is Rs 850/ for general category candidates and Rs 175/ for candidates belonging to reserved category.

IBPS PO 2024 Admit card
The authority will release IBPS PO admit cards online separately for prelims and mains exam. Candidates can download their hall tickets from the official website by entering details such as registration number, date of birth, or password. No hard copy will be sent to the candidates via post.
The admit card contains important details like the candidate’s name, registration number, roll number, address of examination centre, date of birth, scanned photograph, etc. Candidates should take the printout of the admit card and bring the same while appearing for the exam.
IBPS PO 2024 Result
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will announce the IBPS PO result online for the prelims exam, mains exam, and final selection. Candidates can check their results online by providing their registration number, date of birth or password.
The final IBPS PO result is based on the overall performance of candidates in the mains exam and interview. The IBPS PO scorecard will be released a few days after the announcement of the result. The scorecard comprises the overall score, overall cut-off, section-wise cut-off, qualifying status, etc.
Selection Process
The IBPS PO selection will include three stages i.e., prelims, mains, and interview. Candidates who qualify the prelims exam will be invited for the mains exam. Candidates who successfully cleared the mains exam will be further called for an interview. The final selection will be based on the overall performance of candidates in the mains exam and interview.
IBPS PO Salary
In general, the salary of IBPS PO is Rs 52,000/to Rs 55,000. In addition, many other benefits including home allowances, special allowances, transport allowances, and other perks are also given to the probationary officer.
