Assam APSC Syllabus 2023: Assam Public Service Commission

The Assam Public Service Commission will conduct Combined Competitive Examinations (CCE) for selection of candidates to different posts. Those who wish to appear for the exams must prepare rigorously. Before starting the preparation it is very important to get familiarity with the exam syllabus. Complete details related to the APSC Syllabus 2023 for both preliminary and main exams are provided in this article below. Candidates should carefully check the syllabus with reference to the subject for which they will be appearing for APSC CCE.

APSC Syllabus 2023

The exam will be held in two rounds- preliminary exam and main exam. General Studies is mandatory for all candidates and for optional subjects they will have to provide the choice as per their qualifying degree. Syllabi for the mandatory as well as optional paper are provided below.

For preliminary Exam

General Studies: Indian Polity, Political System in India, Current events of National & International importance, Indian Economy, Planning process in India, Geography of India, Assam & world, Role of Science & Technology in India, Culture & Literature of Assam, India & World, History of India & Assam, Indian National Movement with Special reference to Assam, General Mental Ability.

Agriculture: Agriculture, its importance in national economy, important crops of India, Soil as a medium of plant growth and its composition, Principles of economics as applied to agriculture, Philosophy, objectives and principles of extension.

Anthropology: Physical Anthropology, Prehistory, Social and Cultural Anthropology.
