Himachal Pradesh M.Tech Admission 2022- Aspirants are given admission into M.Tech programme in Himachal Pradesh based on their performance in GATE or HPCET. Preference will be first given to candidates having valid GATE score and thereafter if seats remain vacant that are filled through HPCET score. Eligibility Criteria
- E/B.Tech qualification with 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates.
- Candidates must hold either GATE or HPCET 2022 exam score.
Procedure to Apply for Himachal Pradesh M.Tech Admission 2022
- For creating your account, you first need to accomplish the registration procedure. Major information candidates need to furnish at the time of registration are their name, date of birth, mobile number and email address.
- Upon completion of the registration procedure, candidates would be capable to get access of application form in the prescribed format.
- After accessing the form, provide your personal info, educational info, exam centre preferences and mailing address.
- Further you need to upload the photograph of size less than 50 KB and signature of size less than 30 KB.
- Next is making payment of the application fees which can be done in online mode or through e-challan. Payment through e-challan can be done at any PNB branch.
- Upon final submission of the form candidates need to take printout of the same.
- The application form must be signed by candidates’ parent or guardian.
- Finally, candidates need to email printout of the application form to [email protected].
HPCET 2022 Exam Pattern
- The exam is going to be held in offline mode and candidates would be given three hours of time.
- Total number of questions will be 100 consisting 200 marks.
- Type of questions will be objective type only.
- Every correct answer fetches 2 marks whereas; deduction of 0.5 marks will be done for each incorrect response.
- Distribution of questions would be as follows:

E-admit card will be downloaded from the official portal. After download the same, if you’ve found any sort of errors the same needs to be intimated to the authority (The Controller of Examinations, H.P. Technical University, Gandhi Chowk, Hamirpur).

Himachal M.Tech Admission 2022 Counselling
- Counselling process will be first organized for GATE qualified candidates and thereafter it’d be conducted for HPCET qualified candidates.
- Aspirants need to fill up the application form for counselling.
- Counselling initial fee is Rs.1200/- (Rs.800/- for reserved category applicants).
- After paying the counselling initial amount candidates will be required to attend the document verification procedure.
- Seat allotment process will be held for GATE qualified candidates first and thereafter it will be conducted for HPCET qualified candidates.
- Candidates need to pay the University fee as Rs.3000/- (Rs.1500/- for reserved category applicants).
- This amount will be adjusted in the admission fees.
