DASA UG Seat Allotment Procedure

DASA UG Seat allotment process will be held based on candidates’ performance in SAT Subject Test scores and preferences given by them according to merit. Name of only those candidates will be included in the merit list whose SAT subject test scores have been received directly from the College Board.

How Merit List Gets Prepared?

The exam conducting authority will include the name of candidates in the merit list according to their total subject test scores. However, it is essential that NIT Srinagar has received candidates’ score on or before June 2018. Otherwise, they won’t be considered while preparing the merit list.

Suppose, in case two or more candidates have same test scores, then their inter se merit will be decided based on following factors:

  • First preference will be given to candidates having more marks in Maths Level 2 followed by Physics.
  • In case tie has not resolved then preference will be given based on date of birth.

Process of Allotment of Institutions and Courses

Allotment of institution and course will be done based on choice given by candidates according to their merit. Candidates having higher rank in the merit list will be preferred during seat allotment procedure. Candidates who haven’t got seat in the first round of allotment they will be further eligible for appearing in 2nd, 3rd and 4th round of seat allotment accordingly.

First Round of Seat Allotment

Candidates, who are found eligible according to the norms prescribed by the admission authority, they will be considered for first round of seat allotment. Candidates can check status of first round of allotment at the official website of DASA i.e. www.dasanit.org. No individual allotment letters/email is going to be sent separately to candidates.

Second Round of Seat Allotment

Candidates, who were not allotted seats in the first round of seat allotment and those who had chosen Accept & Upgrade, are eligible for second round of seat allotment. Candidates should visit official admission portal regularly for further updates.

Third Round of Seat Allotment

Candidates, who were not allotted seats in the second round of seat allotment and those who had chosen Accept & Upgrade, are eligible for third round of seat allotment. They will be allotted seats according to their merit in the exam.

Four Round of Seat Allotment

Eligible candidates who were not considered for allotment in any of the previous rounds they may opt for four round of seat allotment.

Spot Round Information

If even after completion of four rounds of seat allotment, seats remain vacant, then spot round would be conducted. All eligible candidates who were not considered for previous rounds they can apply for spot round.
