Candidates from all over the country can apply for the Chhattisgarh BTech Admission 2021 given the case they fulfill the eligibility criteria for admission. Chhattisgarh BTech Entrance Exam 2021
The admissions into the engineering colleges of Chhattisgarh will be offered on the basis of different entrance exams conducted for the same. The interested candidates can appear for any of these entrance exams to be eligible for BTech Admission in Chhattisgarh:
- JEE Main: JEE Main is a national level entrance test that will be conducted for admissions into BTech course. There are many engineering institutes in Chhattisgarh that accepts the score of JEE Main to provide the selected candidates admissions into their BTech degree programme including NIT Raipur.
- JEE Advanced: The admissions into Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai will be granted to the candidates who clear the JEE advanced exam. It is another national level entrance exam and the candidates who clear the JEE Main exam can apply for JEE Advanced.
- CG PET: Another major entrance exam conducted for BTech Admission in Chhattisgarh is CG PET (Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test). It is a state level entrance exam that selects the candidates for Chhattisgarh BTech admission. The candidates who qualify this exam will be considered for admissions into different government as well as private engineering institutions situated in Chhattisgarh. The application form for this exam is expected to be released in March 2021 and the entrance test is to be conducted in the month of May 2021 (also tentative).
Application Form for Chhattisgarh BTech Admission 2021
The candidates who wish to be considered for Chhattisgarh BTech Admission 2021 will have to submit their application. The application form for JEE Main and CG PET will be released in online mode. The complete process of registration, form filling and submission will be done online. The application process for JEE main first attempt has been closed for now. The candidates can however fill the application form for the JEE main second attempt (only if they do not score well in first attempt) from the month of February 2021. The application form for CG PET will be released tentatively in the 3rd week of March 2021. The candidates will have to provide details such as name, father’s name, age, gender, qualifying exam details, etc into the application form. Photograph and signature of the candidates in the scanned format will also be uploaded in the form. After providing all the information in the form, the candidates will have to submit it along with the required application fee. The submission of application fee will also be done online.
Selection Procedure for BTech Admission in Chhattisgarh
Through CG PET
The provisional selection of the candidates for admission into BTech degree course will be done on the basis of CG PET. The candidates who clear this entrance test will be invited to participate in the counseling process. During the counseling, the eligibility and documents of the candidates will be checked and they will also be allowed to provide choice for course specialization and institute. Final selection will only be made after all the eligibility conditions are verified. Based on the choice made and the ranking of the candidates, a seat will be allotted. The finally selected candidates will then have to report to the institute allotted to them as per the predefined schedule to complete the process of admission.
Through JEE Main
Selection of the candidates will also be done on the basis of JEE Main exam. The candidates who qualify their JEE Main exam will have to register themselves for Chhattisgarh BTech Admission process. Such candidates will then be invited for counseling round conducted by the relevant state authorities. Seat allotment will be done on the basis of ranking of the candidates and their choice made at the time of counseling. The details of the selection process will be communicated to the candidates from the official website.
