DU LLB 2020

DU LLB 2020 admissions will be based on the entrance test conducted by the Delhi University. Candidates will be given admission in the LLB program only if they qualify the entrance test for the same. Interested candidates must apply for the test through the official website of the Delhi University. The admission will be granted according to the merit rank obtained by the candidates in the entrance test.

The syllabus of DU LLB 2020 is generic in nature and is based on the topics such as legal reasoning, analytical ability, general knowledge, and English comprehension. Candidates can prepare for the exam keeping in mind the syllabus and exam pattern associated with it. Here are some of the topics that the candidates must prepare-

General Knowledge: International/National News, Government Scheme, Verdicts on famous cases by Supreme Court,  Sports, Science, Technology, Economics, Polity etc.

English Language Comprehension: Grammar, Synonyms, Antonyms, Homonyms, Fill in the blanks, one word substitution, Sentence rearrangement, cloze test, Passage reading etc.

Analytical Ability: Decision making, sitting arrangement, direction test, blood relations, classification, syllogisms, analogy, number series, alphabetical series etc.

Legal Reasoning: Candidates should make themselves familiar with the legal procedures and discourse, court conduct, legal awareness etc.

Preparation Tips for DU LLB 2020

Follow the tips given below to score good marks in the exam-

  1. Build a strong foundation in legal awareness and Indian polity.
  2. Follow the newspapers daily for GK and current affairs.
  3. Solve the previous year question paper and analyze your performance.
  4. The reasoning part is the most scoring section. Candidates should prepare the reasoning part well to fetch high marks.
  5. Practice English comprehension every day. Work on leaning the English grammar.
  6. Go through the magazines like pratiyogita darpan, competition review to stay updated on the current events happening at international and national level.
  7. Study for at least 6 hrs daily. Make a time table and stick to it no matter what.

DU LLB 2020 Application Form

The authority will release the application form on its website. Candidates must register themselves for the entrance test before proceeding for the application form. They should avoid filling multiple application form. Once done with the registration, candidates need to fill the application form by login into the portal using the registered Email id and password. The form must be filled very carefully. Candidates cannot change the details in the form once they submit it successfully.

Applicants must keep these scanned copy of documents ready to upload while filling the form-Passport size photograph,  Signature, ID Proof , Class 10th Certificate (Self Attested), Caste Certificate (Self Attested, if applicable). It is compulsory for the applicants to pay the required fee for the exam. The detail of which is given below.

Application Fee

Applicants need to pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) as the application fee for the exam. The payment can be made using credit card/debit card/net banking or through DD/NEFT.

Eligibility Criteria for DU LLB 2020

The minimum eligibility criteria required for DU LLB Entrance Test is as follows-

Age Criteria: No restrictions on upper age.

Education Qualification: Candidates must have done graduation/post graduation from a recognized university/institute with minimum 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates and 45% for OBC/PWD candidates) or equivalent grade point. Those appearing in the final year are also eligible to apply for the exam.

DU LLB 2020 Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card for DU LLB entrance exam from the official website of DU. To download the hall ticket, they need to login to the portal using their registered Email ID and password. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card. Candidates should take the printout of the hall ticket and carry the same at the exam centre. Students also need to bring along a valid govt. ID proof with the admit card.

Result and Counselling

The result of the DU LLB 2020 entrance test will be displayed on the official website in form of a PDF where candidates information like roll no, name, form no., gender, category etc will be listed. The list will display the names of the candidates who are selected for admission. No individual score card will be sent to the candidates by any means whatsoever. The short listed candidates will be eligible for the counselling procedure where they’ll be allotted a seat in any of the colleges under Delhi University that offers admission in 3 year of full time LLB course.
