SNAP Exam Pattern 2022: Mode, Marking Scheme, No. of Questions

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test abbreviated as the SNAP is an entrance exam to be conducted by the Symbiosis International University for admission to MBA / MSc (CA) / MSc (SS) programmes. The candidates looking to appear for this exam should familiarize themselves with the SNAP Exam Pattern 2022 in order to prepare for the exam in a better way.

The exam will be conducted in online mode (Computer based test) at around 92 exam centers across India.  The details regarding the date, time and venue to the exam will be communicated through SNAP Admit Card. SNAP Exam Pattern 2022

The exam pattern for the SNAP exam 2022 will be as follows:

Mode of Exam: Online (Computer Based Test)

Duration of Exam: 120 Minutes

Number of Questions: 130

Total Marks: 150

Type of Question: Objective Type having 4 options (Only for the normal questions)

Marking scheme: Normal Question will carry 1 mark and the special question will carry 2 marks

Negative Marking: 25% i.e. 0.25 marks for a normal question and 0.5 marks for a special question

Note: For special questions, the candidates have to answer using the virtual keyboard. For example: If the question will be “What is the capital of India?” then the candidates have to write “Delhi” by using the virtual keyboard.

Section wise allotment of marks

The section wise allotment of marks according to the SNAP Exam Pattern 2022 will be as follows:

  1. General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability: 40 Marks
  2. Current Affairs: 30 Marks
  3. Analytical & Logical Reasoning: 40 Marks
  4. Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency: 40 Marks

Important Guidelines for SNAP Exam

  • The candidate can attempt any section in any order within 120 minutes of time duration.
  • It is mandatory for every candidate to carry SNAP Admit Card 2022 along with a photo ID proof at the time of exam.
  • Digital finger print scanning and biometric will be captured at the exam center.

SNAP Syllabus 2022

The symbiosis university has not released any fixed syllabus for the SNAP exam. However, there are some important topics from each section as given below:

Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency: Number system, Profit and Loss, Trigonometry, Ratios and Proportion, HCF and LCM, Partnership, Simple interest and Compound interest, Venn diagram, Geometric and Arithmetic progression etc.

General English: Contextual usage, Fill in the blanks, Idioms and Syllogisms, Sentence correction, Antonyms, Jumbled paragraphs, Sentence completion, Analogies etc.

Current Affair: Geography, Politics and History, World records, Social issues, Business and Finance, Quotations, Entertainment etc.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning: Critical reasoning, Coding and decoding puzzles, Column graphs and Bar graphs, graphs and tables, Data Interpretation based on text, Visual reasoning, Symbol Based problems, Line chart and Pie charts etc.
