Course details
Candidates can pursue either the two -year Full -Time MBA course or the MBA (Hospitality & Tourism Management) courses as per their choice.
Seats available
The approved intake capacity in the MBA Program including both the MBA (2 years) Program and MBA in HTM is 92 seats (approx).
Eligibility Criteria
First of all, candidates should ensure the prescribed eligibility criteria before applying for MBA admission. The important eligibility criteria for MBA admission are as follows:
Applicants seeking admission to the Assam University MBA Program 2022 must be either:
- Graduate from any concerned field possessing at least 70% in CAT may eligible to apply
- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in any stream (Commerce, Science, Arts, Engineering, Communication, Computer Science, Pharmacy, Technology, Medical Science or any other concerned department) with minimum of 60 % marks or equivalent CGPA in either honor or pass course are also eligible to apply for the MBA program.
- Candidates who are appearing in the last year of Bachelor’s Degree program may also apply for admission.
Reservation criteria
There will be seat reservation criteria as follows:
- SC – 15%
- ST- 7.5%
- Physically Challenged (PC)- 3%
The Reservation of seats for OBC candidates will be as per Central Government rules. Relaxation of up to 5% marks in the qualifying examination is given in case of applicants from the reserved quota.
Assam University MBA Application Form: How to apply?
Interested and eligible candidates may collect Prospectus along with Application Form from the Assam University cash counter, UCO Bank Assam University Branch, SBI Dorgakona Branch, and office of Diphu Campus on Payment of Rs.600/- (Rs.500/- in case if candidates from SC/ST category)
The Application Form may also be Downloaded From the official website of university i.e. www.aus.ac.in. In such cases, candidates have to pay the applicable application fee through Demand Draft/Banker Cheque drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, Assam University Silchar”, payable at Silchar.
Selection process
At first, the university will offer admission to CAT qualified candidates. Non- CAT candidates have to qualify the Writing Skill Assessment Test in order to appear for Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) round.
