Candidates can get admission into engineering courses through the following two ways-

Joint Entrance Exam Main

Many Tier-1 institutions like NITs, IIITs, CFITs and other colleges in Rajasthan consider the JEE main scores for admission into B.tech programmes. Candidates who are interested in pursuing engineering from these premier colleges can apply for the exam in online mode.

REAP 

Admission to other known government aided or private engineering colleges in Rajasthan is done via the Rajasthan Engineering Admission process. In this process JEE Main Rank as well as, the percentile scored by the candidate in class 12^th will be taken into consideration for admission.

Note: Some colleges/universities follow their own entrance exam procedure or opt for the direct way for admission into various disciplines of engineering.

Selection Procedure for Rajasthan B.Tech Admission 2022

Selection through JEE Main 

In order to get admission into the institutions such as NITs, IIITs, CFITs and several other state-level colleges in Rajasthan, a candidate needs to qualify JEE main. However, admissions to IIT, Jodhpur will be provided only after qualifying the JEE Advanced exam.  The candidates who successfully qualify the JEE Main will be eligible for JEE Advanced. Following that, a counselling will be organized for candidates in order to allot seats into different Engineering disciplines.

Selection through REAP 

Candidate will need to follow the given procedure to get admission in different Engineering programs offered by colleges in Rajasthan-

• Candidate needs to register for REAP admission process and pay the required registration fee (when asked).
• Candidates will then need to fill the details in the online registration form and generate a login ID.
• Using the Login ID & password, candidates then need to fill the choice of college and branch in order of preference.
• Thereafter a counselling letter will be generated and the candidates will need to report to the given college for completing the admission process.

Note: Here allotment will depend on many parameters such as the Rank secured by a candidate in JEE Main and his/her class 12^th percentile along with the number of seats available for that particular course.
