Instructions to the candidates for filling UPSC CMS Application Form 2018

UPSC organizes the Combined Medical Examination every year. The official notification and application form for UPSC CMS 2018 is available from 2nd May 2018. Those who have their dream to serve the nation with their medical knowledge and excellence can apply for the Combined Medical Services Examination.

Here, candidates have been provided the detailed instructions as how to apply for the CMS examination so that candidates can fill the online form without having any problem.

The online application form for UPSC CMS 2018 is available from 2nd May 2018. Candidates can apply by following the link provided below. 

The guidelines to fill the UPSC CMS Application Form 2018

  • Candidates can apply for the CMS exam through its official website ‘upsconline.nic.in’ after the notification is published.
  • There are two stages of the Online Application Form viz. Part-I and Part-II.

Part-I Registration

In the Part-I of the registration, candidates will fill their name, father’s name, mother’s name, educational qualification and the contact information such as their permanent or local address, the phone or mobile number and most importantly the email address which will be the mode of communication between commission and candidates.

Candidates while filling the online application form for the CMS Exam need to be too cautious and careful to commit any mistake. Any wrong information can be the reason of rejection of the online form which can push their dreams one year back.

After filling all the information in the Part-I of the registration, candidates will be preceded to the Part-II of the registration.

Part-II Registration 

In this part of the registration, candidates will be asked to fill the details about the CMS examination as the examination Centre and the posts preferences.

The candidates will be asked to upload their scanned photograph and signature and will be provided the option to submit the online fee.

The details have been provided below about the size of the scanned photograph and signature and the process of submission of the examination fee.

The size of the scanned Photo and Signature

  • Candidates must have the scanned photo of themselves and their signature in the .jpg before they start filling the application form.
  • The size of the scanned photograph and signature should be of minimum 3kb and 1kb respectively which can be maximum of up to 40 kb for both.

Examination Fee for CMS Exam

  • Except the candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), a female candidate and a candidate who is physically handicapped will be exempted from the examination fee of Rs. 200.
  • All the other candidates will be asked to submit the examination fee either via offline mode through pay by cash in any SBI branch or can pay online through net banking facility or by using any Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

After the process of online payment is completed the candidates will be issued a registration number. Candidates must save the copy of the registration form with the registration number for future reference.

Registration number will be required to download the admit card. With the registration number and the date of birth, candidates will get the option to download their admit card from the official site of UPSC.

The Union Public Service Commission may send the admit cards of the candidates to the email IDs provided by the candidates.
