UBI SO Exam Pattern 2022

Every recruiter has their specific pattern of examination to select candidates for the posts they publish the notification for. Candidates, who have applied or those who are planning to apply for the UBI SO Exam, should know about the UBI SO Exam Pattern 2022 so that they can have an understanding about the exam and question papers.

Here, candidates have been given all the details about the UBI SO 2022–

• The UBI SO Exam shall be conducted in two parts viz. written examination and the interview.
• The written exam will be conducted online.
• The written exam will have multiple choice questions and candidates need to choose one most appropriate option from the given options.
• The written exam will be the first stage of the SO Examination.
• Candidates, who qualify the written exam, will be called to prove their skill and communication ability in the interview.

UBI SO Written Exam

• The written exam which will be conducted online will be comprised of 200 questions.
• There will be 4 sections in the UBI SO question paper.
• Candidates will be asked 50 questions from Reasoning and General Mental Ability.
• 50 questions will be from the Quantitative Aptitude section and candidates need to have mathematical computation ability to solve the questions of this section.
• 50 questions will be from the section of general English and candidates must have basic understanding of English Grammar and vocabulary.
• Other 50 questions will be relevant to the posts which candidates have applied for. The questions will seek candidates’’ professional knowledge and skill in their specialized field.
• For the post of Security Officers, instead of Quantitative Aptitude, there will be a test on General Awareness with special reference to Banking industry of 50 questions carrying 50 marks.
• The above tests except the test of English language will be available bilingually i.e. in English and Hindi language.

Personal Interview

• Candidates after qualifying the written examination will be called for interview.
• The interview will be conducted to assess candidates’ academic knowledge, their power of expressing themselves and their communication skills.
• Interviewers will also evaluate candidates’ job knowledge, clarity of thought, qualities of leadership, extracurricular activities, hobbies, general demeanor, behavior, suitability for the post, etc.
• The Personal Interview will be of 50 marks.
• The minimum qualifying marks for the UBI SO Personal Interview would be 25 marks.
• It will be 22.5 marks for the candidates who belong to the reserved category applicants such as Scheduled caste and schedule tribes.
• Those, who don’t secure the minimum qualifying marks in the interview, will be rejected by the selectors.

Penalty for wrong Answers

• Candidates need to be very attentive while choosing the answers of the questions in the UBI SO exam 2022.
• Candidates’ 1/4^th marks will be deducted as penalty for each of the wrong answer given by the candidates for a question.
• No marks will be deducted if a question is left unattended by the candidate.
