SSC CGL SC/ST & OBC Certificate Format : If you are falling under Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/OBC category and want to claim your category in SSC CGL exam then you’ll have to produce your category certificate in the SC/ST or OBC certificate format as recommended by the Staff Selection Commission.
Without submission of valid category certificate your claim for falling under SC/ST or OBC category will not be considered as valid. Therefore, candidates are recommended to obtain this certificate and avail the relaxation as notified by the Central Government.
*Important Note
If parent of a particular candidate is dead then the officer signing on his/her certificate should be of the district in which the candidate resided ordinarily or for the purpose of his/her own education.
List of Authorities Who Can Issue Caste/Tribes Certificate
- Additional District Magistrate/ District Magistrate/Collector/ Additional Deputy Commissioner/Deputy Commissioner/ Dy.Collector/Ist Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ Extra-Assistant Commissioner/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate.
- Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Chief Presidency Magistrate/Presidency Magistrate.
- Revenue Officers but they should be below than the rank of Tehsildar.
- Sub-Divisional Officers of the area where the applicant and/or his/her family resides.
Note: ST category candidates of Tamilnadu state are required to produce caste certificate obtained ONLY FROM THE REVENUE DIVISIONAL OFFICER.
