RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2022

Before candidates apply for any examination, they need to make it certain whether they are eligible for that examination or not and to do so they need to study the conditions of eligibility criteria explained by the recruiter in the official notification.

All the aspiring entrants who want to make their career in banking may apply for RBI Assistant exam and can fill the RBI Assistant application form 2022.

Candidates’ Nationality

 Candidates who are willing to apply for the post of Probationary Officers’ Examination-
(I) must be citizen of India
(ii) must be subject of Nepal or
(iii) must be subject of Bhutan or
(iv) Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to be settled permanently in India

(v) a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limitation for Appearing in the RRB Assistant Exam

Applicants ‘age should be between 18 years and 28 years while applying for the RRB Assistant Examination. Candidates belonging to the reserved category will be provided legitimate relaxation in their upper age as given below.

Age Relaxation

Candidates belonging to the reserved category will be offered deserved relaxation in their upper age as according to the provisions made by Parliament. The details about age relaxation have been specified as following-

  • Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) will be provided relaxation in their upper age and the relaxation will be of the maximum of up to 5 years.
  • All the contenders of Other Backward Class (OBC) will be afforded relaxation in their age of maximum of up to three years.
  • Persons having physical disabilities or those who are physically handicapped will receive the maximum age relaxation of up to ten years.
  • Widows, divorced women, and women who have been separated legally from their husbands and who have not remarried; shall be offered a relaxation of 10 years in their upper age.
  • Candidates who have work experience in Reserve bank of India shall be offered a maximum of up to three years of age relaxation in their upper age.

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • Candidates who want to apply for the RRB Assistant Examination must have at least a Bachelors Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks.
  • Candidates who belong to the reserved category will require just passing marks in their bachelor’s degree.
  • All the applicants need to have the knowledge of word processing also on PC.
