RBI Assistant 2022: Application Form, Prelims Date, Mains Exam Date

The Reserve Bank of India annually conducts a recruitment exam for selecting candidates for the post of Assistants in different offices of the bank. Candidates can apply for the exam by filling the online application form for the same. RBI Assistant 2022 Application Form

The application form for RBI Assistant 2022 exam will only be available via online mode. Candidates need to visit the official website of the RBI to fill the form. Before filling the form, candidates should keep their relevant documents, scanned photograph and signature handy. Applicants should possess a valid email id and mobile number in order to register for the exam. Once the registration is done, candidates can proceed to the form filling part.

The details in the form should be carefully filled as per the correct knowledge and official records. Before making the final submission of the form, applicants should review the entire form for mistakes and correct them. Once the form is submitted successfully, no change request in the particulars will be entertained by the authority. Candidates are also required to pay the necessary application fee for the exam failing which their applications will be rejected by the Bank.

Eligibility Criteria for RBI Assistance 2022

The eligibility criteria for RBI Assistance exam are given below-

Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply for the exam.

Age limit: The age of the candidates must fall between 20 years and 28 years as on 1st October 2022. Candidates from reserved category can claim relaxation in age as per the rules.

Educational qualification

  • Candidates should have done graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university and they should possess working knowledge of word processing in PC.
  • Candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.
  • Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.

  • Exam mode: Online (Computer-based test)
  • Duration: 60 minutes for preliminary exam and 135 minutes for main exam
  • Medium: English and Hindi

  • Negative marking: 1/4th marks will be deducted for wrong answer.

Syllabus

The topics to be covered under the RBI Assistant 2022 exam syllabus are quite exhaustive. Here are some of the important ones that the candidates shouldn’t miss-

English language: English grammar, antonym, synonym, one-word substitution, sentence rearrangement, fill in the blanks, word meaning etc.

Reasoning: Number series, directions sense, blood relation, puzzle, sitting arrangement, analogy, classification, number series, coding and decoding etc.

Numerical ability: Time and distance, work and wages, average, simplification, data interpretation, train, problems on ages, boats and stream, permutation and combination etc.

General awareness: Current event, sports, environment, politics, history, science, etc.

Computer knowledge: Computer languages, computer architecture, basic hardware and software knowledge, MS office, History of computers etc.

Admit card

  • To download the admit card for the exam candidates need to visit the official website of the RBI.
  • The admit card will be made available a week prior to the commencement of the exam.
  • Separate admit card will be downloaded for both Pre-exam and main exam.
  • Candidates can download the admit card by entering their registration number/roll number and DOB/password.
  • The admit card should be kept safe till the selection process ends.
  • It is compulsory for the applicants to bring the admit card to the exam venue failing which they won’t be allowed to appear in the exam.

Result and Selection

  • The result of the RBI Assistant 2022 exam will be declared on the official website of RBI.
  • Candidates need to login into the website to see their scores.
  • Only those candidates can appear for the main exam who has qualified the pre-exam.
  • The final result will be based on the scores obtained by the candidates in preliminary exam, main exam and language proficiency test.
  • The authority will publish the merit list of the candidates selected for the post of assistant.
  • Those who are shortlisted will undergo the document verification phase where their documents will be verified to check the authenticity of the applicants.
