Maharashtra Civil Services Exam Application Form 2023

Candidates will be eligible to appear in the examination only after applying thru the application form. Candidates can get the guidelines to fill the application form:

  • The application form will be published online on the official website of the commission.
  • In the application form, candidates bed to fill all the details about themselves such as the name, address and the details of the educational qualifications etc.
  • Candidates will also upload the scanned photo and the signature in the application form.
  • There will be an application fee which every applicant pays thru the online mode such as the credit card, debit card, and net banking.
  • Candidates need to save the application for with the registration number for the future reference.

Maharashtra Civil Services Exam Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant needs to be a citizen of India.
  • He must have the permanent domicile in the state of Maharashtra to get the reservation benefits.
  • Candidates must have completed their graduation from a recognized institute.
  • The age of the candidates must be between 19 years and 33 years.
  • The candidates of the reserved category will get the appropriate relaxation in the upper age.
  • Maximum age limit for the candidates PwD category will be 45 years.
  • For OBC category, the relaxation in the upper age will be of 3 years.
  • The candidates of the SC and ST category will get the relaxation of 5 years.

Maharashtra Civil Services Exam Pattern

The Maharashtra Civil Services Exam Pattern will be conducted in three stages viz. The preliminary examination, main examination, and the interview.

The pattern of the preliminary examination will be as given ion the following chart:

In the preliminary examination, candidates will get the question from the given topics in each question paper. The details of the subjects have been given in the following points:

Paper I – (200 marks)
(1) Current events of state, national and international importance.
(2) History of India (with special reference to Maharashtra) and Indian National Movement.
(3) Maharashtra, India and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic Geography of Maharashtra, India and the World.
(4) Maharashtra and India – Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Urban Governance, Public Policy, Rights issues, etc.
(5) Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
(6) General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change-that do not require subject specialization.
(7) General Science.

Paper II – (200 marks)
(1) Comprehension
(2) Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
(3) Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
(4) Decision – making and problem – solving.
(5) General mental ability.
(6) Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (Charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. – Class X level)
(7) Marathi and English Language Comprehension skills (Class X/XII level).

The Pattern of Maharashtra Civil Services Main Examination 2023

The main examination will be of descriptive nature. The main examination will be comprised of the question papers of General Study, optional papers, essay, and the question papers of languages.

Interview

After qualifying the main examination, candidates will be eligible to appear in the Interview assessment test.

  • Candidates will get the admit card for the Maharashtra Civil Services Examination 2023 on the official website.
  • The commission will issue the different admit card for the preliminary and main examination.
