LIC AAO Eligibility Criteria 2022 : Age Criteria, Minimum Education

Candidates aspiring to become the assistant administrative officer (AAO) in the Life Insurance Corporation of India must fulfill the LIC AAO eligibility criteria 2022 specified by the authority that is necessary for the post of AAO in LIC. The recruitment exam is conducted annually to shortlist the capable candidates seeking a career in the Insurance field.

Before proceeding for the application form, candidates should ensure that they fit the requirements for the given post or else they won’t be allowed to appear for the exam. The selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the exam, and interview followed by the medical test.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria: An applicant must be minimum of 21 years old as on 1st Feb 2022. The age of the candidates applying for the exam should not exceed 30 years.

Educational Qualification: An applicant must possess a valid Bachelor or Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute.

Age Relaxation

Following categories will be given the benefit of age relaxation-

Category Relaxation in upper age
SC/ST 5 years
OBC 3 years
PWD General: 10 years

SC/ST: 15 years

OBC: 13 years

ECO/SSCO General: 5 years

SC/ST: 10 years

OBC: 8 years

Confirmed LIC employees Further relaxation of 5 years

PWD category

  • Only the orthopedically handicapped (OH) and visually impaired (VI) candidates can apply under PWD category.
  • OH candidates should have minimum 40% impairment with disability of one hand or one leg provided independent mobility is not affected only can apply.
  • Locomotor and cerebral palsy will be treated under the OH category.
  • Applicants with Visual Impairment falling under Category I (low vision) Impairment (40-74%) only can apply for the exam.

LIC AAO application form

After checking the LIC AAO Eligibility criteria, candidates can move ahead for the application form filling part. The application form for LIC AAO exam will only be available in online mode. Aspirants can visit the official website of the LIC to fill the online form. Candidates will be required to register for the exam first and then proceed towards the form filling part. The registration will be done using basic details like name, phone number and valid email id.

The login details will be sent to the candidates on their registered phone number and email id. The same should be used for filling the application form. Candidates should keep the scanned photograph and signature ready to upload in the form. After making the application fee payment, they must ensure to review the complete form one more time and edit the details (if needed). They should submit the form on or before the deadline given by the authority.
