Kerala State Eligibility Test 2022 (Kerala SET 2022) is a state-level exam going to be organized by the government of Kerala in order to determine the eligibility of aspiring teachers in the state of Kerala. It is mandatory for a candidate to be qualified in the Kerala SET exam in order to get recruited as the higher secondary school teacher in Kerala. The exam will consist of two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2 and candidates will be allowed to choose from a list of 35 subjects for paper 2. Kerala SET Eligibility Criteria 2022
Here are the prescribed eligibility criteria for Kerala SET 2022:
Age Limit: There are no per-defined age criteria for appearing in Kerala SET exam.
Educational Qualification

- The Candidate must have a Master’s degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks or equivalent along with a B.Ed. degree in relevant discipline from any recognized university.
- For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, candidates should have MSc.Ed Degree in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks or its equivalent grade from any one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by the NCERT. On the other hand, for Botany and Zoology candidates should have MSc.Ed Degree in Life Science with minimum 50% marks from any one of the Regional Institutes of Education.
- For subjects, Anthropology, Commerce, Gandhian Studies, French, Geology, German, Journalism, Home Science, Latin, Music, Psychology, Philosophy, Russian, Social Work, Sociology, Statistics and Syriac, candidates do need to have B.Ed degree.
- For SET in English, candidates having II class Master’s Degree in Communicative English with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed degree are eligible. Candidates having DLED/LTTC in Arabic, Urdu, and Hindi, not B.Ed, are eligible to apply for SET exam.
- Candidates having B.Ed degree in Hindi organized by the Dakshin Bharatha Hindi Prachar Sabha are exempted from the obligation of producing the equivalency certificate, because the degree has been recognized by the Universities in Kerala
- Candidates who acquired the qualification from open universities or through a correspondence course and not recognized by any one of the Universities in Kerala are not permitted to appear in SET exam. Those have obtained the qualifications through recognized correspondence courses/Open universities they have to obtain and certificates of recognition and equivalency from any one of the Universities in Kerala.
- Candidates having Master’s degree with minimum required marks but undergoing through the final year courses for B.Ed degree can apply for the exam. Those have acquired B.Ed but undergoing through final year courses of their Post Graduate Programme can also apply. Candidates belonging to this category are required to produce the certificate of qualifying exam passed within one year from the date of publication of the result.
- The relaxation of 5% in minimum marks will be given to candidates of SC/ST category.
- Candidates willing for Latin subject, they should have passed their degree examination in any discipline from any one of the Universities in Kerala or from any other University recognized as equivalent thereto with Latin as their Second Language under Part II with minimum 50% marks for that Part II are also eligible to appear for SET, provided such candidates have obtained II Class Master’s Degree with minimum 50% marks in any discipline.
Kerala SET 2022 Application form
It is necessary to pay Kerala SET application fee in advance in order to receive the Site Access key along with the Application Number for completing Online Registration.
Candidates can remit the fee at selected office or branch of a service provider (will be notified later). After remitting the fee, candidates will be issued a Site Access Key and Application Number. Candidates of SC/St/VH/PH category are required to provide a copy of the Community Certificate/Disability Certificate to obtain the Site Access Key and Application Number (for Rs.375/-). Fee once paid won’t be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates of Kerala won’t be issued the Site Access Key and application number via post.
Candidates who are from outside the state of Kerala can request for Site Access Key and application number for registration via post. In this case, candidates are restricted to remit the fee only through the demand draft Draft (Rs.800/- for General/OBC category candidates and Rs.425/- for SC/ST/ VH/PH candidates) drawn from any one of the nationalised banks in India in favour of the Director, LBS Centre for Science & Technology, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Such request along with demand draft under a self-addressed envelope of size 31 cm X 25 cm must reach the office of the Director, LBS Centre minimum 10 days before the schedule deadline of registration.
- In order to apply for Kerala SET 2022, candidates need to register themselves on lbscentre.org or www.lbskerala.com
- Applicants will be prompted to enter the application number and site access key.
- Then candidates have to upload their recent passport size photograph.
- After uploading the photograph, candidates have to fill the application form very carefully.
- A printout of the duly filled application form signed by the candidate will be required to be sent to the following address

Kerala SET 2022 Exam Pattern
The exam will be consisting of two papers having a duration of 120 minutes each.
Paper I is to be common for all aspirants. The exam paper comprises of two parts- Part (A) General Knowledge and Part (B) Aptitude in Teaching.
Paper II is a test whether the questions are to be asked from the subject of specialization of the candidate at the Post Graduate (PG) Level.
Only objective type of questions will be asked in both the papers and 1 Mark will be awarded for every correct answer (1.5 marks for Maths and statistics). There will no negative marking.

Negative marking: 1 mark will be provided to candidates for every correct response. Whereas, 0.5 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer in the exam.

Kerala SET 2022 Admit Card
The admit card will be issued for all the successfully registered candidates on the website of LBS Kerala i.e. www.Ibskerala.com or www.lbscentre.org . Candidates have to enter their registration number in order to download the admit card. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without a hard copy of the admit card.
Kerala SET Answer Key
The authority will publish answer key of all the subjects at the official website of LBS Centre soon after the completion of the exam. If you have any complaints regarding the answer keys, you may send the same to the Director, LBS Centre, in writing, within five working days from the date of publication of the keys. The complaint needs to be accompanied with a demand draft of Rs.300/- for each question challenged by the candidates. The demand draft must be drawn from any branch of a nationalized bank in favour of the Director, LBS Centre payable at Thiruvananthapuram. If your complaint found genuine then the fee will be refunded back to you. Complaints must be accompanied by the said documents and prescribed fee, otherwise, it won’t be considered valid. Complaints which are received after five working days from the date of releasing answer key won’t be entertained.
Kerala SET 2022 Result
The result will be hosted on the official website of LBS center. A candidate has to provide the roll no. in order to download his/her result. Minimum percentile required to secure at least a pass in the SET exam is given in the table below:
