Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services Exam 2022: Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) announces various vacancies of district judges (junior level) in the subordinate courts of districts of Himachal Pradesh. Candidates, who have graduated in law from any recognized institute, can apply for the exam.

Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services Application Form 2022

To take part in the examination and the selection process, candidates need to apply thru the application form. The guidelines to fill the application form have been given here:

  • The Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services Application Form of the examination will be available on the official website of WBPSC.
  • In the application form, candidates will have to fill all the details such as the name, address and the details of the educational qualification.
  • Candidates will also upload the scanned photo and signature in the application form.
  • There will be an application fee of Rs. 400 which every applicant will have to pay thru the online mode.
  • The application fee for the candidates of the reserved category will be Rs. 100.
  • The application fee can be paid by the candidates thru the credit card, debit card or net banking.
  • Candidates need to take the print out of the online application
  • After taking the printout of the application form, candidates need to send it along with all required documents/certificates to ‘Controller of Examination, Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla- 171002’.

Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services Eligibility Criteria

As per the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, there are some norms of the Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services exam eligibility criteria which every applicant will be required to fulfill before they apply for the exam. The details of the eligibility criteria have been given here:

  • Applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidates must have qualified a degree in Law from an institute recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  • The minimum age of the applicants must not be less than 21 years.
  • The maximum age of the candidates must not be more than 35 years.
  • The candidates of the reserved category will be given suitable relaxation in their upper age.
  • The upper age relaxation for the candidates of the SC and ST category will be 5 years.
  • Candidates of the OBC category will be offered the upper age relaxation of 3 years.

Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services Exam Pattern

There will be three stages of the Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services Exam, the pre-exam, Main exam, and the interview.

Main Examination

  • The Main Examination will be of 900 marks in total.
  • The examination will have 9 question papers of 100 marks each.
  • Some question papers will be compulsory for all the candidates and some of the question papers will be optional.
  • Candidates will be eligible to appear in the main exam only after qualifying the Pre exam.
  • Moreover, they need to secure maximum marks in the main examination so that they can get the opportunity to appear in the Viva-voce.

Viva-Voce/Personality Test

  • There will be a Viva-voce after the Mains Examination. Candidates will be judged by the panel of experts whether they are fit for the job or not.
  • The Viva-voce will be of 100 marks.

Selection process

  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the various stages of the exam.
  • There will be three question papers in the pre-exam and candidates need to qualify the exam to be eligible to appear in the Mains exam.
  • The last part will be of interview and candidates will be allotted their desired cadre after qualifying this.

  • The admit card for the Himachal Pradesh Judicial Services Exam will be issued thru the official website of the commission.
  • Candidates can download the admit card thru the official website and take the printout of the same.
  • All the candidates will require carrying the admit card with them at the examination center to make sure their appearance in the examination.

  • HPPSC will declare the results separately for the pre and main examination. The Mains written test and interview will be the part of the Main
