CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria: In order to appear for CSIR NET candidates will have to fulfill some set of norms as defined by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Only those candidates can participate in the recruitment procedure who fulfill eligibility norms as laid down.
Candidature of a candidate is liable to be cancelled if he/she doesn’t satisfy recommended eligibility requirements. So, before applying I would suggest you to read the information furnished below.
Nationality Criteria
Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Age Criteria
- Age Norm for JRF (NET): The upper age limit for candidates aspiring to apply for JRF (NET) is 28 years as on 1st July 2021. Candidates of Physically Handicapped/SC/ST/Visually Handicapped/OBC (non-creamy layer) category will be relaxed by 5 years in age.
- Age Norm for LS (NET): There is no upper age limit.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates should hold M. Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/ BPharma/MBBS/BE/BTech with 55% marks (for Gen & OBC-NCL) and 50% (for SC/ST/PH/VH).
- Candidates, who are enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the aforesaid qualifying exam as on deadline of submission of application form, can also apply. In this case candidates will be required to submit the attestation format duly certified by the Head of the Department/Institute from where they have appeared or appearing.
- Candidates, who have obtained B.Sc (Hons) or its equivalent degree or enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program, along with securing 55% marks (for GEN & OBC-NCL) and 50% (for SC/ST/PH/VH), can also apply.
- All PhD degree holders who have obtained Master’s degree before 19th September 1992 along with securing minimum50% marks, are permitted to apply for Lectureship only.
