Candidates who have applied online for the Engineering Service Examination will be provided the acceptance from UPSC to appear in the examination by issuing them the admit card on its official site.
Admit card for the examination is actually the gate pass which authorizes the entry of the candidates into the examination center. Without admit card candidates will be banned from making their entry in the examination center. So candidates are advised to keep their admit cards safely with them before they step out form their home to the examination center.
What does admit card contain?
Admit card has the candidates’ name, their date of birth and their roll number allotted by the commission on its front side.
The front side of the admit card also contains the date of the examination and venue of the examination where the examination will be held.
On the back of the admit card, the instruction will be given for the candidates. What to bring at the examination center and whatnot, when to reach the center and what is allowed at the examination center and what not; all the essential instruction will be inscribed on the backside of the admit card.
All the candidate are advised to strictly follow all the instructions given in the admit card otherwise they might be rejected from appearing in the examination.
How to download the Admit Card for Engineering Service Examination?
Admit cards are generally issued 2 or 3 weeks before the examination is going to be commenced. Candidates can go on the official site that is ‘www.upsc.gov.in’.
When admits card will be available to be downloaded, candidates will see the link on the home page for downloading the admit card for Engineering Service Examination.
After opening the link, two boxes will appear before the candidates on the screen where the registration number will be filled in one of the box and date of birth will be filled in the other.
After candidate submits their registration number and their date of birth online they will have the link to download their admit card.
Candidates can take the printout of the admit card and save the soft copy in the computer for future reference.
