Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) invites applications from interested Indian Citizens for appointment to the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) Specialist. Candidates who meet the basic eligibility can apply through online mode tentatively from March 2022 onwards. Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of two phases of online exam followed by interview and medical exam. LIC AAO 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The following eligibility criteria need to be fulfilled by the candidates in order to appear for LIC AAO exam 2022:
Age limit:
- Minimum and maximum age of the candidates shall be 21 years (completed) and 30 years respectively as on 1st February 2022.
- Relaxation in upper age is provided as per the following rules:

Educational qualification:
- For AAO (Chartered Accountant): A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/ Institution is required. Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountant and should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
- For AAO (Actuarial): Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/ Institution will be eligible. Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India/ Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK as on 1st February 2022. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India/ Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
- For AAO (Legal): Those with bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/ Institution are eligible. Three years Bar experience is essential.
- For AAO (Rajbhasha): The applicants should hold a master’s degree in Hindi/ Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at bachelor’s degree level OR Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at bachelor’s degree level OR master’s degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at bachelor’s degree level.
- For AAO (IT): Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics), or MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution is required.
LIC AAO 2022 Application Form
The application form for LIC AAO 2022 will be made available through online mode tentatively from the month of March 2022. Online form can be obtained from the official website of LIC www.licindia.in.
- Into the application form, the candidates need to provide their basic personal details like name, gender, date of birth, category, etc.
- Details related to the qualifying exam such as university name, marks obtained, passing year, etc will also be asked into the form.
- Scanned copies of photograph, signature left thumb impression of the candidates and hand written declaration should be uploaded into the application form.
- All these details should be entered very carefully as incorrect information can lead to rejection of the form.
- After the form is completely filled, it can be submitted by the candidates. Submission should be made on or before the last date to avoid rejection of form.
Application fee
- For general candidates, the application fee will Rs. 700/- and for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates, it will be Rs. 85/-.
- The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

LIC AAO Admit Card 2022
- The authorities will upload the admit card for LIC AAO exam on the official website of LIC www.licindia.in.
- Intimation regarding the availability of admit card will also be sent on the registered mobile number and email address of the candidates.
- Candidates can download their admit card by providing the registration number/ roll number and password/ date of birth.
- After downloading, a hard copy of the admit card should be taken and carried to the exam center on the day of exam.
- The admit card should be kept safe by the candidates even after the exam is over as it will be required at the time of document verification.
LIC AAO 2022 Result & Selection
- Result of the AAO exam preliminary and main exam will be published on the official website.
- Candidates who clear the main exam will be able to download their call letter and appear for the interview round.
- Those who clear the interview round as well will be considered for the final selection process.
- A merit list of the candidates on the basis of their marks in main exam and performance in interview will be prepared.
- The candidates with their names in merit list will be called for document verification and medical examination round.
- Applicants will be appointed after clearing these rounds and will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of joining. This period may be extended up to two years.

Can I obtain my call letter/ admit card for different phase of exams through post?
No copy of the admit card will be made sent to the candidates through post or courier and will only be released online. Call letters will also be sent on registered email address.
Is it possible to provide the choice for AAO post and exam center for the AAO exam?
The candidates will be given the opportunity to provide their choice for AAO post and exam center for the AAO exam at the time filling the application form.
Can I apply for different posts under LIC AAO?
No, the candidates can apply for one post. Candidates who submit application form for more than one posts will be rejected.
Do I need to clear each section of the online exam separately?
Yes. There will be both overall and section wise cut off marks for LIC AAO 2022 exam.
How will I get to know about the details of the exam center allotted to me?
The detailed information about the exam and interview such as venue, date and timing will be communicated to the candidates through their respective call letters.
