 SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2021

Those candidates who are looking to apply must fulfil the eligibility criteria given below.

Nationality

The candidates of the following nationalities are eligible

  • Indian citizen
  • Citizen of Nepal
  • Citizen of Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee, only if they come with the intention to stay in India
  • People born in India but migrated to Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries

Age Limit

The age limit of a candidate depends upon the post he/she is applying.

  • Grade – B: 18 to 30 years
  • Grade – C: 18 to 27 years

The candidates from reserved will get a relaxation in upper age limit as per the following rules.

Educational Qualification

  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
  • Those who will appear for 10+2 examination in the year 2021 are also eligible.

SSC Stenographer 2021 Application Form

The SSC Stenographer 2021 application process will take place in online mode only. Eligible and interested candidates who are looking to apply may check the complete application process explained below.

  • First of all, the candidates need to register on the official SSC website.
  • Once registration process gets over, the login credentials will be send to the registered email ID/ Phone number of the candidate.
  • Then, the candidates will be able to access the main application form.
  • In the main application form, aspirants have to fill all the required educational, personal, and contact details.
  • Apart from the details, aspirants have to upload the scanned images of their passport size photograph, and signature.
  • All the details entered in the application form must be correct. Otherwise, the application form might get rejected.
  • After submitting the form, candidates are required to pay the necessary application fee.
  • It is recommended to take a printout of the application form submitted for future references.

Application Fee

The application fees for the SSC Stenographer exam 2021 are given below.

  • General and OBC candidates: Rs. 100/-
  • Female and SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category: Nil (exempted from the application fee payment)

Mode of payment: BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card. Alternatively, the fees can also be paid in cash using a bank challan.

Admit Card

  • Those candidates who will submit the SSC Stenographer Application Form 2021 before the last date will be able to download the admit card.
  • To download the admit card, candidates have to provide their Roll number/ Registration ID number, date of birth, and captcha code.
  • Information like the examination schedule, timing, and venue of the examination will be mentioned on the admit card.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall and take the exam without an admit card.
  • Along with the admit card, candidates are also required to carry one photo ID at the examination centre.

SSC Stenographer Skill Test 2021

Those who will clear the written test will be allowed to take part in the skill test. The required steno speeds are as follows.

  • 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade C.
  • 80 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade D
