REET 2021: Important Dates, Exam Pattern, Eligibility Criteria, Admit Card

REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) is an eligibility test conducted to screen the capable candidates for the post of government teachers in Rajasthan. The REET 2021 will be conducted in the 2nd week of February (tentatively) and all the interested candidates can register themselves for this exam starting from November. The application will be submitted online but the exam will be conducted in the offline mode. This article presents the details related to REET 2021 such as application form, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, etc.

REET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

For Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5):

The applicants satisfying any of the mentioned criteria will be considered eligible:

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulation, 2002. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Graduation and passed/ appearing in final year of 2 year-Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

For Paper 2 (Class 6 to 8):

The aspiring candidates must fulfill any of these criteria:

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)./ B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation and passed/ appearing in final of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year B.Ed. passed/ appearing in final year of 2 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

REET 2021 Application Form

REET 2021 application form will be made available on the official website. The application form can also be filled through eMitra Kiosk by paying an additional amount of Rs. 20/-. In the application form, the candidates will have to enter the personal and educational details. After entering all the information asked in the application form, the candidates can make final form submission. But before that, the candidates must check all the entries as no change in the finally submitted form will be possible. A registration number will be generated which must be kept safe for future use.

The token for submitting the application fee will also be obtained from the eMitra Kiosk for Rs. 10/-. Only after successful submission of application fee, the application form will be considered complete. The structure of application fee is given as:

Both papers Rs. 600/-

REET 2021 Exam Pattern

REET 2021 will be conducted in offline mode.

The duration of the exam will be 2:30 hours.

All questions will be of multiple-choice type.

Except for language subjects, the paper will be in Hindi and English.

Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking.

For Paper 1:

Exam Schedule

The expected schedule for REET 2021 is given as:

Paper Exam Timing
Paper 2 10 am to 12:30 pm
Paper 1 2:30 pm to 5 pm

Admit Card

REET 2021 admit card will be available for download on the official website. The notification regarding the admit card will be published in newspaper and websites. The candidates can also be intimated through email or SMS. The admit card can be downloaded by using the registration number and the token number. The admit card will not be sent via post.

Result & Eligibility Certificate

The candidates who score above the minimum passing marks (decided by the relevant authority) will be considered qualified. The result for the REET 2021 will be uploaded on the official website. Any objection regarding the result can be submitted within 72 hours of the declaration of the result.

The qualified candidates will be eligible to get the eligibility certificate. The validity of the eligibility certificate will be 3 years from the date of announcement of result.

Those who have appeared in the REET earlier and wish to improve their score can apply for REET 2021.
