RBI Officer Grade B Eligibility Criteria 2022

RBI holds all India level open competitive Examination for the post of RBI Officer (Grade‘B’) every year in the month of September. Aspirants, who want to apply for the RBI Officer Examination 2022, can register online.

The Application Form shall be available online which candidates can fill and submit online but before that, all the candidates need to ensure whether they fulfill the RBI Officer eligibility criteria 2022 to apply and appear in the RBI Officer Examination.

Nationality/Citizenship of the Applicants

Candidates who are willing to apply for the post of Probationary Officers’ Examination-
(I) must be a citizen of India

(ii) must be subject of Nepal or

(iii) must be subject of Bhutan or

(iv) Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 to be settled permanently in India

(v) a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Age Limitation for appearing in RBI OFFICER (GRADE ‘B’) Examination

RBI has defined minimum age criteria for appearing in the RBI Officer (Grade ‘B’) examination and candidates having the same age criteria as fixed by RBI recruitment Board can apply for the RBI Examination.

  • Candidates having age criteria between 21 years and 30 years (both age included) can apply for the RBI examination 2022.
  • Candidates’ age as mentioned in the matriculation (high school) certificate or in the equivalent certificate will be accepted by the Board while determining applicant’s age.

Maximum Relaxation in upper age

Candidates, who belong to the reserved category (Those, who have been given the reservation by Parliament) will be provided relaxation in their upper age as per the rules decided by the Board.

The age relaxation is provided to ex-employees and various other categories as well and candidates need to check the official notification of RBI Officer (Grade ‘B’) examination 2022.

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • Candidate appearing for the RBI officer examination 2022 must be a graduate from a recognized university or institute. Or
  • Candidates must have attained 60% marks in the graduation and this criterion of marks has been kept 50% for the candidates belonging to the reserved category. Or
  • Candidates having a Doctorate degree with aggregate 50% marks can also apply for the RBI examination. Or
  • Candidates having masters’ degree with 55% marks will be allowed to apply for the RBI exam 2020. Or
  • Those, who have a postgraduate diploma in management or Masters of Business administration can also apply for the RBI Officer (Grade ‘B’) exam 2022. Or
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary or Cost Accountant can apply for the examination.

Aspirants, who fulfill the RBI Officer Grade ‘B’ eligibility criteria 2022 as determined by RBI for the post of Grade ‘B’ Officers, can apply online for the examination.
