KTET 2022: Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) is conducted in order to justify the quality of candidates for the post of teacher in Upper Primary, Lower Primary and High school classes across Kerala state. There will be a separate test conducted for the following categories:
- Category I: This exam is conducted for the candidates willing to be a teacher for lower primary classes.
- Category II: This exam is conducted for the candidates willing to be a teacher for upper primary classes.
- Category III: This exam is conducted for the candidates willing to be a teacher for high school classes.
- Category IV: This exam is conducted for the candidates willing to be a language teacher of Hindi, Arabic, Sanskrit, Urdu for upper primary class, Physical Education teachers and specialist teachers up to High school level.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Category 1
Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary Examination with 45% marks and hold 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/2year Trained Teacher’s Certificate (TTC) or they should have passed senior secondary exam with 50% marks and hold 2-year Diploma in Education (SE)/4 year B.El.Ed.
Eligibility for Category II
Candidates should hold B.Sc / BA / B.Com degree and 2 year Trained Teacher’s Certificate (TTC)/Diploma in Elementary Education OR hold B.Sc / BA / B.Com with 45% marks along with 1 year B.Ed OR have passed senior secondary exam with 50% marks along with 4 years BA / B.El.Ed/ B.Ed / B.Sc / BA.Ed B.Sc.Ed.
Eligibility for Category III
- Candidates should have B.Com/B.Sc/B.A with 45% marks and B.Ed in related subject or cleared LTTC.
- Eligibility for Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Chemistry and Zoology: Candidates should hold M.Sc.Ed. in related subject along with obtaining 50% marks and it should be obtained from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT.
- Eligibility for Zoology and Botany: Candidates should have M.Sc.Ed degree in Life Science along with obtaining 50% marks.
KTET 2022 Application Form
Candidates need to submit their respective application to Pareeksha Bhavan through online mode only. They do not need to send the printout of the form, challan or required documents to the authority via post or any other mode. However, they must take a printout of the form for reference purpose.
Application Fee: Candidates have to make payment of Rs.500/- as exam fee, whereas this amount is Rs.250/- for SC/ST/Differently abled category candidates.
Exam Pattern
- There will be a single paper in each category.
- All the questions will be multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each.
- Out of the four alternatives, only one answer will be correct.
- Total number of MCQ type questions will be 150.

KTET 2022 Admit Card
Candidates will be able to obtain their admit card by visiting the official website of Pareeksha Bhavan and notification in this regard will be intimated to you through electronic media, print, and website of Kerala Pareeksha bhavan.
KTET 2022 Answer Key and Result
The authority will first declare the KTET 2022 answer key through its official website before they declare its result. Final result will be made available by the authority within five days from the declaration of the result.
