JTET 2023: Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test

JTET 2023: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is the responsible authority of conducting the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2023. Eligibility Criteria

Here are the minimum eligibility criteria required to be fulfilled by candidates in order to appear in the exam:

Eligibility for Class I-V

• Candidates need to pass Senior Secondary or its equivalent along with securing minimum 45% marks and cleared or appearing in two years Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Candidates need to clear Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) exam with securing minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing on final semester/year of 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education.
• Candidates, who have cleared Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam along with obtaining 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final semester/year of two-year Diploma in Education or Special Education, can also apply.

Eligibility for Class VI-VIII

• Candidates should be having Graduation degree or appearing in final year of two-year duration D.Ed program.
• They should hold a Bachelor’s degree along with securing 50% marks and cleared/appearing in B.Ed.
• Candidates should have cleared Graduation degree with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in 4 years duration B.El.Ed/B.Sc.Ed/4 year BA.
• Applicants who have done Sc. (Ed.) / A. (Ed.)/ B.Ed. (Special Education) with a minimum of 50% in BA or B.Sc are eligible to apply for JAC TET.

JTET 2023 Application Form: How to apply?

Interested and eligible applicants should apply online as per the prescribed schedule. Applicants should read the important instructions and eligibility criteria before applying.

Application Fee

• For General category: Rs 500/-
• For SC/ST category: Rs 250/-

Registration Process:

• Candidates first have to complete the registration process. During registration, they need to provide some important details.
• Applicants are suggested to enter the required details such as name, category, DOB, Email id, mobile number, exam city etc correctly in the given fields.
• Click on the “Send OTP” for getting the same.
• Enter the “OTP”.
• Thereafter, click on the “Verify OTP” button to verify the same.
• Once it’s verified, click on the “Submit” tab and complete your registration
• On successful registration, a User ID & Password will be sent to your registered e‐mail ID.
• By using the same login details you can access and fill the application form.

Selection process

The selection procedure will include two papers; first one is for primary class i.e. from class 1^st to 5^th and another one is for Upper Primary class namely class 6^th to 8th. Applicants who will score a minimum of 60% marks (52% for SC/ST) in the entrance exam will be considered as selected for admission. The final selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of TET score and on the eligibility criteria.
