HP SET 2023: The Himachal Pradesh State Eligibility Test (HP SET) is organized by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC). HP SET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria given below can appear for the Himachal Pradesh SET 2023 exam:

• Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications are eligible.
• Those who have appeared but are awaiting results or will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination can apply too. Such candidates must complete their degree within two years from the date of SET result.
• The applicants belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-creamy layer)/ PWD categories will be given a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying exam.
• PhD Degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) will also be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.

HP SET 2023 Application Form

Candidates can obtain the online application form for HP SET 2023 from the official website of the HP Public Service Commission www.hppsc.hp.gov.in. It is suggested that the candidates ensure their eligibility before applying for the exam.

• The applicants first need to register themselves by providing their basic details name, email address, phone number, etc.
• User id and password will be generated after successful registration using which the candidates can obtain the application form.
• Candidates already registered with HPPSC for other exams need not to register again and can use existing user id and password for applying online.
• Rest personal and academic details of the candidates like nationality, category, qualifying exam passing year, marks obtained, etc will be asked in the application form.
• Candidates will also have to upload their photograph and signature into the application form in scanned format.
• After entering all the details correctly and completely in the application form, the candidates should submit it online.
• A hard copy of the submitted application form should be taken and kept for future reference by the candidates.

Application fee:

• Along with the application form, the candidates are also required to make submission of a prescribed amount of application fee.
• Payment of the application form can be done through online mode using debit card/ credit card or net banking facility.

Admit Card

• Successfully registered candidates will be able to download their admit card from the official website of the commission using their user id and password.
• The candidates must take a printout of the admit card after downloading and carry it to the exam center on the date of exam.
• No candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall and appear for the exam in absence of a valid admit card.
• The applicants are advised to take multiple printouts of the admit card to protect it from loss or damage.
• It is important to preserve the admit card until the certificate is awarded by the commission.

HP SET 2023 Result & Certificate

• The result of the Himachal Pradesh TET will be declared online can be checked from the official website of the commission.
• Candidates who qualified this exam will be eligible for the award of eligibility certificate.
• Qualified candidates need to report to the office of Commission along with the photocopies of their certificate of matriculation/ post graduation degree, detailed marks certificate, category certificate and copy of application form for verification.
• Only after verification of the documents the certificate will be given to the candidates.
• Those with the certificate can then apply for the post of Assistant Professors in the colleges of the Himachal Pradesh.
