FCI Manager 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with the following nationalities are eligible to apply.

  • a Citizen of India, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1 st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda and United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Educational Qualification

  • FCI Manager (General) – Aspirants should have a Graduate degree or equivalent from recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or CA/ ICWA/ CS. SC/ ST/ PH candidates need to have only 55% marks.
  • FCI Manager (Depot) –  Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or CA/ ICWA/ CS. SC/ ST/ PH candidates need to have only 55% marks.
  • FCI Manager (Movement) – Aspirants should have a Graduate degree or equivalent from recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or CA/ ICWA/ CS. SC/ ST/ PH candidates need to have only 55% marks.
  • FCI Manager (Accounts) – The educational qualification requirements for FCI Manager (Accounts) are as follows.
    • Associate Membership of any of the following.
      • The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India; or
      • The Institute of Cost Accountants of India; or
      • The Institute of Company Secretaries of India

Or

  • B.Com from a recognized university along with any one of the following.
    • Post Graduate Full-time MBA (Fin) Degree / Diploma of minimum 2 years recognized by UGC/AICTE; or
    • Post Graduate Part-time MBA (Fin) Degree / Diploma (not in the nature of distance education) of minimum 3 years duration recognized by UGC/AICTE or
    • Post Graduate MBA (Fin) Degree/Diploma by distance education mode recognized by UGC-AICTE- DEC Joint Committee.
  • FCI Manager (Technical) – Candidates should have any one of the following degrees.
    • B.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized University.

or

  • B.Tech degree or B.E degree in Food Science from a recognized University/ an institution approved by the AICTE.

or

  • B.Tech degree or B.E degree in Food Science & Technology or Food Technology or Food Processing Technology or Food Process Engineering or Food Processing or Food Preservation Technology from a recognized University/ an institution approved by the AICTE.

or

  • B.Tech. degree or BE degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University/an institution approved by the AICTE.

or

  • B.Tech degree or B.E degree in Bio-Technology or Industrial BioTechnology or Bio-Chemical Engineering or Agricultural Bio-Technology from a recognized University/ an institution approved by the AICTE
  • FCI Manager (Civil Engineering) – Aspirants need to have a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • FCI Manager (Electrical Mechanical Engineering) – Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • FCI Manager (Hindi) – For the post of FCI Manager, there are some essential qualifications and some desirable qualifications. Both of them are as follows.
    • Essential qualification.
      • Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the Degree level. Or
      • Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level. Or
      • Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi and English as a subject at the degree level. Or
      • Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with English medium and Hindi as a subject at the degree level. Or
      • Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi medium and English as a subject at the degree level.
      • Candidates also need to have 5 years experience of terminological work in Hindi and/or translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa preferably of technical or scientific literature. Or Five years experience of teaching/research writing or journalism in Hindi.
    • Desirable qualification.
      • Knowledge of Sanskrit or a modern India Language.
      • Administrative experience.
      • Experience of organizing Hindi Classes or workshop for noting and drafting.

FCI Manager Application Form 2022

Eligible candidates looking to apply for FCI Manager Post may fill and submit the application form in online mode. The complete process of application form submission is explained below.

  • To start the process of online application form submission, aspirants have to visit the official website fci.gov.in.
  • On the official website, you will have to register by providing some of your basic details like name, phone number, email address, etc.
  • Once registered, you need to sign in by entering your username and password generated at the time of registration.
  • After signing in, the main application form will appear on your screen.
  • On the main application form, aspirants have to fill in their complete educational, personal, and contact details.
  • The details that you will enter in the application form must be accurate. Otherwise, FCI may reject your application form.
  • Along with the details, candidates have to upload scanned images of the following document.
    • Passport size photograph of the candidate
    • Signature of the candidate
    • Left-hand thumb impression
    • Handwritten declaration (to be written in candidate’s own handwriting)

FCI Manager 2022 Application Fee

The application fees are different for candidates from various categories.

  • Women candidates of all categories – Nil
  • SC/ ST/ PwBD Candidates – Nil
  • All other candidates – Rs. 800/-

Mode of payment – The payment can be made online using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets/ UPI.

Admit Card

  • The FCI will upload call letters or admit cards of all those candidates who will submit the application form before the last date in online mode.
  • Intimation about the availability of admit card will also be sent through email/ SMS.
  • To download the admit card, candidates have to provide their registration number/ roll number along with password/ date of birth.
  • Candidates need to affix their photograph on the call letter/ admit card preferably the same as provided during registration.
  • It is necessary for all candidates to carry their admit cards along with one photo Id proof. The acceptable ID proofs are PAN Card/ Passport/ Permanent Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card/ Bank Passbook with photograph/ Photo identity proof by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead along with photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with photograph / valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College/ University/ Aadhaar card/ E-Aadhar Card with a photograph/ Employee ID/ Bar Council Identity Card with photograph.

FCI Manager Exam Pattern 2022

The selection process for FCI Manager includes the following three phases.

  • Online Examination
  • Interview
  • Training

Let’s first discuss online examinations. The online examination is further divided into two phases i.e. phase – I and phase – II.

  • Manager (Accounts) – Basic Accounting concept including preparation of books of accounts and Accounting Standards, Financial Management, Taxation, Auditing, Commercial Laws, Basic of Computers.
  • Manager (Technical) – Agriculture, Biotechnology, Entomology, Chemistry (Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry) PFA Act, 1964, Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006/ Food Safety and Standards Regulations 2011, Right to information Act, 2005, etc.
  • Manager (Civil Engineering) – Engineering Materials & Construction Technology, Building Materials, Construction Practice, Planning and Management, Surveying, Soil/ Geotechnical Engineering, Highway and bridges, Structural Analysis, Design of steel structures, Design of Concrete and Masonry Structures, Estimating, Costing and Valuation, etc.

Result and Interview

  • The result for the online examination will release in online mode through the official website of FCI.
  • To check the result, aspirants have to provide their roll number and other registration details.
  • Those candidates who will clear the phase I exam will be invited to take part in Phase II.
