UGC NET Admit Card 2022 is a very important document which is mandatory in order to appear for the exam. The admit card for UGC NET will be uploaded on the official website https://ntanet.nic.in/ in the month of April 2022. The details of the exam such as venue, exam date & time, etc will be published on the admit card/ admission card only. Personal details such as candidates’ name, father’s name, roll number, etc. The admit card along with a valid photo identity proof must be presented at the exam center or else the candidate will not be allowed to take the exam.

Steps to download the UGC NET Admit Card 2022

UGC NET admit card can be downloaded by following these simple steps:

  • Go to the official website https://ntanet.nic.in/.
  • The link for the admit card will be present on the website only. Follow the link to open the same.
  • Provide the required credentials such as registration number, date of birth, etc in the specified fields.
  • A page containing the admit card will appear. Take a printout of the admit card to be carried to the center on the day of examination.

List of the Photo Identity Proof

In addition to the admit card, any of the below-mentioned documents should be carried to the exam venue as an identity proof. Only the original copy of the documents (no photocopy, no scanned images) will be considered as valid.

  • Passport
  • PAN card
  • Voter ID
  • Aadhaar- UID
  • Driving License, etc

Problems in downloading the UGC NET Admit Card 2022

When you are trying to download your admit card but are not able to do so, this can be mainly due to two reasons. Either you are entering your application number wrong or the password you are providing is incorrect. In order to retrieve your application number or password, you need to follow these steps:

  • Click on the ‘I can’t access my account?’.
  • Select any of the options ‘I forgot my Password’ or ‘I forgot my Application Number’.
  1. The password can be recovered in any of the following ways:
  • Using Security Question and Answer you have chosen while filling the application form
  • Using a verification code sent via text message to the registered mobile number
  • Using a reset link sent via email to the registered email address
  1. The application number can be recovered by submitting the Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, and Date of Birth in the relevant field.

Important Points related to UGC NET Admit Card 2022

The following things regarding the UGC NET admit card must be kept in mind:

  • Only the candidates who have submitted their application right on time will be able to download their admit card.
  • Only the printout of the admit card and no photocopy will be considered valid.
  • Apart from admit card and id proof no items such as bags, cell phone, metal objects, watches, etc are not allowed in the exam hall.
  • No hard copy of the admit card will be sent individually to the candidates.
  • In the absence of valid photo id proof, the candidates will be prohibited from entering the exam hall.
  • Mere availability of the admit card does not guarantee that the candidate fulfill all the eligibility criteria.
  • The candidates must only report to the venue mentioned in their admit card for giving the exam. No candidate will be allowed to appear at the examination center other than that allotted to him/ her in the admission/ admit card at any cost.
  • The candidate must not write anything on their admit card.

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2022

UGC NET will be conducted in an offline mode. The exam will be held in two sessions, in the morning and in the afternoon. There will be two papers, paper I and paper II and it will be compulsory to attempt both papers. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and all the questions will be of objective type.
