OSSTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must meet the eligibility criteria given below in order to apply for the OSSTET 2023 examination.
Nativity
- The candidate should be a citizen of India
- Applicants should belong to the state of Odisha. The candidate should be able to write and read Odia.
Educational Qualification
The educational qualification required depends upon the Paper in which the aspirant is looking to appear.
Category – A (Paper – I)
- 12th class or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks and a 2 year diploma in Elementary education (D.El.Ed). Or
- 12th class or equivalent exam with at least 45% marks and a 2 year diploma in elementary education in accordance with NCTE. Or
- Class 12th or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed). Or
- 12th class pass or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and 2 year diploma in Education (Special Education). Or
- Graduation with 2 years diploma in elementary education. OR
- Completed graduation with at least 50% and B.Ed. in accordance with NCTE.
Category – B (Paper – II)
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. (Bachelor in Education). Or
- Graduation with 2 year diploma in elementary education. Or
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year B.Ed (Bachelor in Education) in accordance with NCTE. Or
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. (special education). Or
- 12th class or equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). Or

OSSTET 2023 Application Form
The application process of OSSTET 2023 will take place in online mode. Those who are looking to apply have to visit the official website i.e. osstet.co.in. The complete application process is explained below.
- To begin the application process, candidates have to visit the official website of the board.
- On the official website, applicants then have to register as a new user.
- After that, the candidates may log into their accounts and fill the detailed application form.
- In the application form, aspirants have to provide their complete educational, personal, and contact details.
- All the details entered in the application form should be correct. Otherwise, the application form will be rejected.
- Apart from the details, applicants are also required to upload the scanned images of their passport size photograph.
- Then, the candidates need to pay the necessary application fee.
- After submitting the form, candidates must take a printout of the same for future references.
Application Fee
The application fees for the candidates of different categories are as follows
- General/ OBC/ SEBC: Rs. 500/-
- SC/ ST candidates: Rs. 300/-
Mode of payment: The application fee can be paid in online or offline mode. Candidates looking to pay online can use ATM Card/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. Those who wish to apply offline can pay the fees using cash through the bank challan.

OSSTET Syllabus 2023

- Child development syllabus: Growth and development, Factors affecting different developmental aspects, approaches to understanding the nature of intelligence, addressing problems of adolescence.
- English syllabus: Reading comprehension, English grammar, and usage, pedagogy, etc.
- Performance evaluation syllabus: Assessment and evaluation, Assessment and learning, Test construction, recent developments in Assessments.

Admit Card
- After the application form submission, authorities will release admit cards on the official website.
- Important information like examination schedule, timing, and venue will be mentioned on the admit card.
- In order to download the admit card, candidates have to provide their registration number and email ID
- It is compulsory to carry the hardcopy of a downloaded admit card with one photo ID proof.
Result
- Before declaring the final result, BSE Odisha, will make the answer keys available on the official website.
- To check the results, candidates need to login using the credentials generated during the registration process.
- The minimum qualifying marks to clear OSSTET 2023 exam is 60% i.e. 90 marks out of 150.
- For SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates, the minimum qualifying marks is 50% i.e. 75 marks out of 150.

The aspirants should know that the OSSTET Pass Certificate shall remain valid till the candidate reaches the upper age limit prescribed for the recruitment of teachers as per the rules of the government.

There will not be any negative marking. Each question will carry 1 mark
The minimum passing mark in each paper is 60%. The candidate securing 60% or more in each paper shall be considered to have qualified OSSTET. In the case of SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates, the minimum pass mark shall be 50%.
