The exam is conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. CSIR NET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
CSIR NET 2022 eligibility criteria says
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates should have acquired minimum 55% marks in the qualifying degree such as – M.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS–MS/ BS–4 years/ B. Pharma/BE/ B. Tech/MBBS. If you belong to SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender Category then you should have at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
- B.Tech/B.E/ B.S/ B.Pharma/ MBBS final year/result awaited candidates can apply for fellowship online. They are not eligible to apply for Lectureship/Assistant professor.
- B.Sc. (Hons.) final year/Result awaited candidates are not permitted to apply.
- PhD degree holder who have acquired Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991 with minimum 50% marks are permitted to apply for Lectureship/ Assistant Professor only.
Upper Age Limit
- For JRF (NET): The maximum age of the candidates should not be more than 28 years as on 1st January 2021. A relaxation of 5 years will be given in case of SC/ ST/ PwD/ female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants.
- For Lectureship (NET): There is no upper age limit for Lectureship (NET).
Candidates must ensure that they meet with all prescribed eligibility criteria otherwise their candidature can be cancelled at any point of time.
CSIR NET 2022 Application Form
CSIR NET online application form will be accessible online most probably from 11th July 2022 for 10th August 2022 session. To submit the application form, candidates are required to access its official website of National Testing Agency. Candidates should not make mistakes in the application form otherwise it will directly lead to the rejection.

How to Fill CSIR NET Application Form?
Step 1: Complete CSIR NET 2022 online registration at official website of National Testing Agency- https://csirnet.nta.nic.in using your mobile number and email ID.
Step 2: Fill up the online application form and note down the system generated application number.
Step 3: Upload the following documents:
- A recent photograph in jpg/jpeg format (10-200kb)’
- Signature of candidate in jpg/jpeg format (4kb to 30kb)
- Duly verified Result Awaited Attestation Form (50KB to 500KB)
- Category Certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS etc.) (50KB to 300KB)
- PwD Certificate (50KB to 300KB)
Step 4: Candidates will be required to make the payment of application fee using the Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI and Wallet.

CSIR NET 2022 Admit Card
CSIR NET 2022 admit card will be made available for download on the official website of National Testing Agency. No admit card will be sent to the candidates through post/ courier or any other means. A printout of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof must be carried to the exam center.
The details of the exam center will be mentioned in the admit card and will not be changed under any circumstances.
CSIR NET 2022 Result
The result of CSIR NET 2022 (June) will be hopefully released in the month of August 2022. The candidates will be able to check their result by visiting the official website of National Testing Agency. On the basis of marks obtained by the candidates, merit list will be prepared.
The candidates qualifying for JRF (NET) will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET) subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Those qualifying for Lectureship will be eligible for recruitment as Lecturers as well as for Junior Research Fellowship as per suitability. The fellowship of the qualified candidates will be valid for a period of two years.
