IBPS PO 2018 Recruitment: Prelims Result, Mains Exam Date

IBPS PO 2018 prelims result is released on 31st October 2018. The authority conducts the recruitment process in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main exam. Eligibility Criteria

IBPS PO Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern

Selection Procedure

  • First Stage: Preliminary Exam
  • Second Stage: Main Exam
  • Third Stage: Interview

Pattern of Preliminary Exam

  • The exam mode is online where candidates have to solve the only objective type of questions.
  • The exam will contain questions of 100 marks in three major sections including English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability.
  • Candidates will get 1 hour of time in order to solve all questions. Previous there were no sectional times in teh exam. However, from this year onward 20 minutes will be given for each section including the English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability.
  • Language Mode of the Question paper: Hindi as well as English
  • Negative Mark: 0.25 for each wrongly attempted question.

Pattern of Main Exam

  • The mode of the exam is online.
  • Exam duration is 2 hours.
  • The test paper will consist of 200 questions of 200 marks.
  • 200 questions are subdivided into five major sections including Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (Banking) and Computer Knowledge.
  • Language mode: Hindi and English.

Pattern of Interview

After qualifying for the Mains exam candidate will further have to appear of interview of 100 marks.

Admit Card

IBPS will upload admit card of all successfully registered candidates at its official website. The authority will first release admit card for preliminary exam and thereafter for Main exam. Do not expect that the admit card will be sent via post, download it online before the timeline is over.

IBPS PO 2018 Cutoff and Result

There will be sectional cutoff in IBPS PO 2018 exam. It means candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks in each section. Furthermore, the authority will first declare the result for the Preliminary exam then Main and at the last for Interview.

IBPS PO Interview 2018

Candidates, who have achieved the minimum qualifying marks in the IBPS PO Main exam, they will be only invited for attending the interview process. The total marks for the Interview will be 100. In order to become qualified in the interview candidates need to achieve 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) marks.

List of Requisite Documents Need to be produced at the time of Interview

  • Printout of Interview call letter;
  • Printout of online generated duly-filled application form;
  • Date of Birth proof. One may submit either Birth certificate or Std. X/SSLC certificate;
  • Photo Identity proof;
  • Bachelor’s degree mark sheets and related certificates;
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST category candidates have to produce Caste certificate as issued by the appropriate authority. OBC creamy layer candidates are suggested to choose their category as “General”.
  • Disability certificate needs to be submitted by candidates belonging to PwD category. The certificate should be obtained from District Medical Board.
  • Requisite Documents for Ex-servicemen category candidates.
  • In case you want to claim for age relaxation then you’ll have to produce the required documents;
  • Experience certificate, if you have.
  • Any other certificates if required in support of your eligibility.
