WBJEE JELET 2022: Application Form (Released), Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date

WBJEE JELET 2022 application form is now available from 18th January 2022. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducts the WBJEE JELET 2022 to select the candidates for admission into the university and the allied institutes. This is a joint entrance examination which is intended to select the candidates for admission into the various courses such as Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy etc. All the eligible candidates, who want to pursue the given courses, can apply for the examination and get admission into the university. Here all the details have been given about the WBJEE JELET 2022 Application form, Eligibility criteria, Exam pattern and important dates etc.

WBJEE JELET 2022 is now available from 18th January 2022.

JELET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The authority has made certain changes in the eligibility section of WBJEE JELET. Candidates are instructed to find new changes as updated below.

Changes in the Eligibility Criteria 

Previously, passing Higher secondary or its equivalent exam was necessary for appearing in the exam. But in the year 2018, there are few changes introduced- Please have a look:

• Candidates have to clear the joint entrance lateral entry test;
• They must have passed plus II with Math, Physics, and Chemistry with 60% marks. 

Eligibility in Detail

Nationality: Only Indian citizens are permitted to apply for the exam.

Age Criteria: The authority has not introduced any age limit for Diploma holders in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy. However,

• For the candidates having B.Sc. degree, the upper age limit will be 27 years as on 31^st December 2022.
• If you are interested for Diploma in Marine Engineering, the upper age limit is 25 years.

JELET Eligibility Criteria for Admission

If you are a candidate, seeking admission into a degree course in Engineering & Technology:

• The candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering/Technology from a recognized institution with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/SY/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD) or its equivalent CGPA.
• All the norms specified for D.G. Shipping will be applicable if you are willing to get admission into Degree programme in Marine Engineering.

B.Sc degree holders who are seeking admission into Engineering & Technology Diploma programme

• Candidates should have the B.Sc degree with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PWD) marks.
• Candidates should have cleared the class 12^th examination with Mathematics as a subject.
• After getting admitted, a candidate has to pass the subjects of Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics along with the subjects involved in the second year.
• If you are B.Sc degree holder then you will be considered for the admission only if the vacancies remain vacant after the seats filled by Diploma holder candidates.
• Please keep in your mind that B.Sc degree holders are not permitted to get admission into Degree course in Pharmacy.

Diploma holders who are willing to get admission into Degree programme in Pharmacy

• Candidates have to pass Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution along with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD) or its equivalent CGPA.

Candidates, who are seeking admission into Jadavpur University through lateral entry scheme: A diploma holder who has passed the 10+2 or its equivalent exam before getting admitted into Diploma course is eligible. B.Sc degree holders are not allowed to get admission into Jadavpur University.

JELET 2022 Application Form

WBJEE JELET 2022 application form is now available on the official portal of the university. Candidates have to fill all the information such as the name, address and the details of the educational qualification. Along with that, they also have to upload the scanned photo and signature in the application form. There will be application fee which every applicant has to pay online. The application fee will be Rs. 500 and the fee can be paid thru the credit card, debit card, Allahabad bank challan.

WBJEE JELET Exam Pattern 2022

The exam pattern will be as given below in the following points:

• The question paper will be of objective nature where applicants will be asked the multiple choice questions.
• There will be four options for every question.
• The number of questions in the examination will be 100 and the exam would be conducted over a duration of 2 hours.
• Every question will be of 1 mark.
• Candidates will have to cast their 1/4^th marks as a penalty for giving the wrong answer to a question.

WBJEE JELET 2022 Admit Card

• After the submission of the online application form and two or three weeks ago of the commencement of the examination, candidates will be issued the admit
• It will be necessary for the applicants to reach the examination centre along with their admit card otherwise they will be able to appear in the examination.
• Candidates can get the admit card from the official website of the university.

WBJEE JELET 2022 Result

• The result of the entrance test is the last spot which the university announces after the commencement if the examination.
• Candidates will get the result of the entrance exam on the official website of the university.
• The admission will be on the basis of the marks attained by the candidates in the entrance test.
