WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2024: Age, Qualifying Exam for Engg and Pharmacy

The minimum eligibility criteria required for appearing in WBJEE is provided here in this post. Prior to fill-in the application form, all interested candidates are instructed to check out the complete WBJEE eligibility criteria. Suppose you don’t meet the minimum required eligibility criteria, your candidature will be cancelled during the counselling process. The post comprises information related to the minimum eligibility requirements for WBJEE exam.

Age Criteria for WBJEE

An Indian citizen is only permitted to apply for the entrance exam. Please have a look on age requirements for appearing in WBJEE:

  • Candidates need to be of minimum 17 years old as on 31st December 2024.
  • A candidate, who is willing to get admission to the degree level marine engineering programme, he/she should be at least 17 years old as on 31st December 2024. However, the authority has defined the upper age criteria of 25 years as on 31st December 2024 in this case.

Academic Criteria for Engineering programme

  • 10+2 or its equivalent exam with Phy & Math along with one of the subjects including Computer Science / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology /Computer Application with individual pass marks.
  • Candidates need to secure at least 45% marks by combing three subjects in the qualifying exam (40% for reserved category candidates- SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD).
  • Candidates should pass in English in 10+2 examination with obtaining 30% marks.
  • The educational board from where candidates have cleared the qualifying exam should be recognized by Central or State Government.

Academic Criteria for Pharmacy programme

  • Candidates should pass 10+2 or its equivalent exam with Phy & Chemistry along with one of the subjects including Computer Science / Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology /Computer Application with individual pass marks.
  • Candidates have to secure minimum 45% marks by combing three subjects in the qualifying exam (40% for reserved category candidates- SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD).
  • They should have obtained minimum of 30% marks in English in the 10+2 examination.

For the University of Calcutta

  • Eligibility for All Availability Courses Excluding ‘Jute & Fibre Technology’: Candidates, who have acquired 60% marks (55% for the reserved category- SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in PCM in 10+2 or its equivalent exam along with 30% marks in English, can apply. Passing marks in the individual subject is also essential.
  • Eligibility For ‘Jute & Fibre Technology’: Candidates, who have acquired minimum 60% marks (55% for reserved category) by combining three subjects from Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology in class 12th or its equivalent exam and 30% marks in English, can apply. Passing marks in the individual subject is also essential.

For Jadavpur University (Faculty of Engineering & Technology)

  • Eligibility For All Available Courses Including Bachelor of Pharmacy Except five Year degree course in Architecture: 60% (45% for the reserved category- SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD) in PCM in 10+2 or its equivalent exam along with 30% marks in English. Passing marks in individual subject is also essential.
  • Eligibility For Five Year Degree Course in Architecture: Along with aforesaid qualification, candidates need to obtain minimum qualifying marks in NATA or JEE Main paper II.

For West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences

  • For B. Tech (Dairy Technology): 50% (40% for reserved category) marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English together in 10+2 or its equivalent exam. Passing marks in individual subject is also essential.

For Neotia University

  • For B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and Robotic Engineering- 60% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science together in 10+2 examination.
  • For All B.Tech Programme: 60% marks in PCM in class 12th or its equivalent exam.
  • For B.Tech in Marine Engineering: 60% marks in PCM in class 12th or its equivalent exam along with 50% marks in English.
