VITEEEThe VIT University will be conducting the VITEEE 2020 with the aim to screen the candidates for admissions into its engineering courses. These courses will be offered at the different campuses of the university. The interested candidates can submit their application in online as well as offline mode from 27th Sep 2019. The exam which is scheduled to be conducted from 29th July to 2nd August 2020 has been cancelled.

It is important that the aspiring candidates start preparing for the VITEEE 2020 following a right strategy. VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2020

The aspirants of VITEEE 2020 must fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

  • The candidates of Indian nationality, NRI, OCI and PIO candidates are eligible to apply for the VITEEE 2020.
  • The applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission.
  • The applying candidates should have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board/ university securing a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology.
  • The minimum aggregate marks is 50% for SC/ ST applicants and the applicants belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
  • Candidates with Biology at 10+2 level can apply for B.Tech. Bioengineering/ Biotechnology, B.Tech ECE (Spec. in Biomedical Engineering) and B.Tech CSE (Spec. in Bioinformatics).

Application Form for VITEEE 2020

The candidates can obtain the VITEEE application form 2020 in online as well as offline mode. The online application form is made available on the official VIT website An application fee of Rs. 1150/- will also be submitted along with the online application form. The offline application form along with information brochure can be obtained against cash payment of Rs. 1200/- from the various post offices (whose list will be provided on the VIT website) or through VIT campuses. The offline application will be provided in a self-addressed envelope.

In the application form, the candidates will have to provide their personal details, address details, educational details, and photograph & signature. In case of offline application, it must be sent through speed post or registered post so as to reach the office before the last date. The online application form needs to be submitted online only. There is no need to send the hardcopy of the online application.

Exam Pattern

The exam will be conducted in online mode and the duration will be 2 hours 30 minutes. The question paper will be in English only. The paper will consist of a total of 125 questions, carrying 1 mark each. There will be no negative marking.

The syllabus of VITEEE 2020 will cover the topics from the subjects of Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry of 11th & 12th standard and Basic English. The subject wise syllabus for the entrance test is provided below:

  • Mathematics: Trigonometry and Complex Numbers, Analytical Geometry of two dimensions, Vector Algebra, Matrices and their Applications, Differential Equations, Calculus, etc
  • Physics: Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Optics, Nuclear Physics, Semiconductor Devices and their Applications, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, etc
  • Chemistry: Atomic Structure, Carbonyl Compounds, Alcohols and Ethers, Electrochemistry, Coordination Chemistry and Solid State Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium and Chemical Kinetics, etc
  • Biology: Human health and diseases, Biochemistry, Taxonomy, Biotechnology and its applications, Biodiversity, Ecology and Environment, Cell and Molecular Biology, Reproduction, etc
  • English: Comprehension, English Grammar and Pronunciation

Preparation Tricks for VITEEE

VIT is counted amongst the prestigious private universities that offer quality education and placement to its students. As a result, a large number of candidates will be applying for the VITEEE 2020, thus making the competition quite tough. Therefore, it is important that the aspirants start their preparation in a well-planned manner. Since enough time is left for the exam, the candidates can make proper strategy for study and can secure good marks in the entrance exam. We have provided here certain tricks that can help the candidates in the preparation of this entrance exam:

  1. Try to study according to a time table. A time table can help you in proper management of time for study and for revision as well.
  2. Collect study material only from authentic sources. Do not try to study with too many books.
  3. Make proper notes of the topics that are important as you can go through these topics with much ease any time you want.
  4. Make a pattern of weekly revision. Do not left it for the end as it can be hectic to revise the whole syllabus at one time.
  5. Practice mock tests and sample papers as much as you can. By doing so, you will be able to point out the topics you are weak in and can study accordingly.

Admit Card

The admit card for VITEEE 2020 will be uploaded on the official university website. Once the candidate books his/ her schedule through the Online Test Booking System, the admit card will be generated. By entering their application form number and online test booking password, the candidates will be able to download their admit card. The admit card will contain the admit card number, photograph of the student, address of the test center, test date and time selected by the candidate. Any discrepancies, if found in the admit card, must be brought to the notice of VIT University immediately. A copy of the admit card will also be emailed to the candidate.


The VITEEE 2020 result will be announced on the official website At the time of publication of the results, the rank of the candidate will also be intimated through SMS on the registered mobile number. On the basis of total marks secured by the candidates, a merit list will be drawn. There will be no provision to send the marks of the candidates (selected or unselected) by post.


The selected candidates will have to take part in the counseling process. The notification regarding the counseling date will be made available on the official website of VIT and will also be sent to candidates on their registered phone number through SMS. The candidates must produce all the important documents in original and two photocopies at the time of counseling. After document verification, the candidates will be allowed to participate in the counseling to book the course and the campus as per their choice and ranking.
